I appreciate "homefield's" clarification of the easiest way to recognize "racist" in our society. I always thought that the KKK and the American Nazi Party, and other hate groups who systematically rape and pillage and on occasion kill people they don't like because of the color of their skin were pretty serious racistS, but I have been wasting my time learning about what these groups do and why. I mean, the skinheads are probably nice neighborly folks too, compared to the overt and horrible racist actions taken by Oprah Winfrey and President Obama. I think we just learned quite a bit about racism without reason or justification. (Sorry, I forgot to include Michele Obama and the children since "homefield" took the trouble to include all of the most troubling and dangerous RACIST out there.)

How can racism ever be overcome when it is brought up in ignorant ways such as this? Delete the thread, move on.

I kind of always see these claims of Oprah being racist, but no one can ever explain to me what makes her so. Does Oprah dislike white people due to them being white? if yes, what are some instances that I should look at that would prove so?

I agree with you. I am not a fan of Oprah but I am not sure what makes her a racist. I also agree that this thread is mind numbingly stupid. Definitely not a surprise giving the originator.

I seriously think that a "racial issue" thread could be educating, but there would be too many "uneducated" posts that would lead it to be mind numbing.

I'm going to recommend a book for everyone to read. It's catered to preschoolers...but in this case...everyone should check it out. I read it to my eldest son once a week. I hate to even introduce him to "racism." The book does just that (in a positive manner), but eventually he will be exposed to it.

My reason for picking Oprah has to do with her claims that she would not allow a white man to proof read her first book because he would not understand her background and she could not trust him to be fair to her because she was a black woman and this was what was reported she demanded that the publisher had to hire a black man to proof read her book or she would cancel her book deal with the publisher and fid someone else.Now the great obama's,maybe you should do some research on the misses and her college days when she wrote in her theisis that the white man was the reason for her struggles and that one day the blacks will stand up and unite and take control from the white man and make them suffer for all they have done to her and her people.All you have to do is read Time magazine and they have a copy of her paper and interviews with her college classmates that claim so was the biggest racist at the school.

My issue is that since I am a non-married female with no children. I have to pay for all my education on my own. I receive no assistance.

Now if I was a different race or decided to have a couple kids just for the heck of it...I wouldn't owe anyone a dime. The government would pay for my house, my schooling, my health care, and my food.

It's really depressing when someone is working full-time and attending school full-time trying to better themselves and they get no help.
