I think it sold out. But honestly shouldn't the ice hold up well? I mean if it does in arena's then why would it be different out there? I certainly will never go to a hockey game in a baseball stadium thoughEnd of Line;1571911 wrote:I'm more interested to see how many people actually show up.

The equipment was supposed to keep the ice nice up to about 65 degrees. It's been close to 75 most of the week.

Humidity? It's SoCal, there is no humidity. Either way a very cool setting, I definitely approveEnd of Line;1572086 wrote:The humidity is going to be an issue tonight I think. NFL Stadiums>Ballparks

They had unusually high humidity the past week. Didn't matter though b/c last night was great for the NHL.Classyposter58;1572152 wrote:Humidity? It's SoCal, there is no humidity. Either way a very cool setting, I definitely approve

Boy it's like the Oilers were constructed by a 12 year old on the PS3. All offense and no D at all, it's a miracle they've only given up 2 thru 2

I agree. Most of those people ccouldnt see shit.
It just one of those events that people want to say they went to. Hockey is much better in person, but not at these games.

On a side note you should have seen my seats at JLA for the Wings game last Sunday against Florida, $40 a piece and I was at Center Ice row 15. Just incrediblethavoice;1573290 wrote:I agree. Most of those people ccouldnt see shit.

Pens win again, although it was against Buffalo, so that was pretty much a foregone conclusion. It was just comical how inept those guys are on power plays. They struggled to even get A shot off during them (0 during the first and 2 during the second...can't remember the third so well, as, you know, beer).
I was feeling bad for Miller by the end of the game. He did a really good job, but it's hard to win games when you have no offense and your defense is using all their energy just to stop the other team's shooters from completely dominating them.

Didnt catch that, but 3 is probably a good number.
Kinda wanted to see how the vibe felt for the one in dodger stadium. Part of the allure, for me i guess, is it being out in the cold, possibly snow, just like how many have played it for years. On a local lake sometimes I still see kids playing hockey in a small little bay.

The game was a snooze-fest. Probably didn't help that it came on at 10PM.thavoice;1573448 wrote:Kinda wanted to see how the vibe felt for the one in dodger stadium.

Feel bad for Ryan, he's probably the best goalie in the world honestlyHeretic;1573416 wrote:Pens win again, although it was against Buffalo, so that was pretty much a foregone conclusion. Also the reason they were doing the Stadium Series was as a way to make up lost revenue from last years lockout

In a huge game tonight, Detroit lays a 5-0 egg to Philly. This team needs to get healthy and fast

Was kinda cool under the lights last night for the rangers/islanders.
I think the outside games are a blast to watch on tv...will let those suckers who live close by actually go to the games!!!

Bettman is such a dork. Anyone catch Scrivens make 59 saves last night? True testament to the shitty quality of Edmonton's D

So Ryan Miller is off to St. Louis. Does that make them favorites for the cup?

They were already a favorite. Maybe not THE favorite. STL gave up a lot to get a goaltender that was marginally better than Halak.
Feel bad for Halak and Stewart though. Going from Cup contender to shit.

Marginally better? Have you seen Miller play this year? Miller is a top 5 goalie.TedSheckler;1586007 wrote:They were already a favorite. Maybe not THE favorite. STL gave up a lot to get a goaltender that was marginally better than Halak.

Also, Pens got embarrassed last night. Not surprised though.

Pens are aggressively going after Ryan Kesler.
