Just got back from watching the game. Holy shit, weeden looks like shit. From what I've heard Hoyer is prob done for year. I hope we start Campbell from here on out because sucks ass.

Great win, GO BROWNS!

First of all, easily the most fun I've ever had at a sporting event. It was an amazing atmosphere, and it didn't hurt that the female sitting next to me was smoking hot, and a lot of fun!

On to the game, Weeden in person is much worse than Weeden on TV. He stares down receivers, while other guys are running around the field wide open. His lack of accuracy hurts him so much. That screen pass he threw behind Gordon that he dropped, would've been a touchdown had Weeden put the ball where it should've been on a freaking 7 yard pass, Gordon had nothing but green in front of him. He doesn't trust Cameron to make a play. He had a big time height advantage and was single covered a lot, Weeden rarely looked his way. So disappointing to see Hoyer go down.

Only in Cleveland can we say "yay we won" along with "boo...we're fucked" in the same sentence. This team is a playoff caliber team with good QB play. Unfortunately, for as big of a supporter I was for him, I don't see Weeden as the guy to give us that play unless something changes DRASTICALLY. The division is theirs for the taking but QB play will probably hold them back.

The saddest part about this is that the hometown kid (Hoyer) got his shot to start....if he's injured for the rest of the season he probably never takes another snap as a Browns starter in that they'll probably draft a QB high.

Special teams and defense are easily the best in this division.

I am almost positive that they will contact Freeman's agent. I doubt they sign him....i just figure they will inquire.

He's indentical to Weeden. Great arm, awful accuracy, and zero pocket awareness. Not to mention his "woe is me" attitude.

Anyone who wants Campbell to start hasn't watched Jason Campbell. The dude is terrible. It needs to be either Weeden or we bring someone else in. Do it now, you got 10 days to prepare. I pray Hoyer can come back soon, but it didn't look like it.

Yeah, Campbell is freakin horrible.

I say we gotta go get Josh Freeman. Yes he's slightly insane, yes he's 'similar' to Weeden...but he threw for 4000 yards, 27 TDs, 17 INTs last year. He is a lot better than what we have with no Hoyer.

Can't wait this opportunity to have a pretty good year.

Worth a shot. Bucs just paid him $6 mil to go away, so I am sure the Browns could get a deal on him for the rest of the season. I dont think anyone wants him long term right now.

Heard there was a "party" going on in RGIII's pants and said thought he might have a "ball." Might explain why he's not on these threads?

Great team win. Hoyer going down really sucks. I really feel bad for him. The difference between him and Weeden is really night and day... Props to Weeden for keeping a positive attitude and coming in and getting the job done..even if it was ugly. He seemed pretty classy in the post game interview as well.

Oh yeah..Benjamin is a fucking boss. That return was sick

Yeah some reporter said a browns official said they're fearing it's an acl tear.

I mean just fucking great.

No surprise. And it's his own dumbass fault. Learn to slide, dummy.

Looking like the light at the end of the tunnel might unfortunately be a freight train. :(

Maybe a miracle will happen. Maybe Weeden being on the sideline was a wake up call to him, and he decides not to be a puss anymore on the field.

Wishful thinking, I'm afraid. I have a feeling Detroit's D-Line is going to give him fits. Better go with the brown pants again.

Fuck me. Looks like ol' Tiernan will be taking a month off soon. 3 wins in 5 weeks is killing my < 6 wins prediction. Hoyer out helps me though.

Nobody accepted your bet you old fuck, but if you want to take a month off I doubt anyone will complain.

I'll admit this: I don't watch enough Buccaneers so I don't know Freeman's particular traits.

Browns have a chance with Weeden if, and only if, he improves the amount of time it takes him to get rid of the ball (I don't think it's possible) and improves his accuracy on the quick hitters (possible).

but guys....THE BROWNS HAVE A WINNING RECORD!!!!!

Like I said in the post above this, IMO it's not possible. I don't think a quarterback, within the context of during the season, can learn how to fundamentally change his approach (getting the ball out quicker, no pump fakes large or small, etc.).

I'll be more than happy to be wrong though

Turner is going to have to dumb down the offense. In Weeden's good games last year, we also had a solid running game or at least we kept the opponents honest. Last night on that 70+ yard, 14 play drive where McGahee ran it in, there were 9 McGahee runs with a few passes. If they are going to be successful, with Weeden, THAT is the formula. If he has to pass it 40+ times in a game, we shouldn't expect positive results.

This team is set up like Pittsburgh & Baltimore were in Roethlisberger & Flacco's rookie seasons minus the strong running game. The defense will keep you in it. Just try to establish the run and manage the game. Weeden may not win it for them but for god sakes, don't lose it.

We have to call Freeman, or try to make a trade for a QB if Hoyer is out of the year. We can't give up on this Defense by putting Weeden out there. He's fucking horrible.
