Another good win and another good start from Ubaldo. I've been eating crow and it tastes great.

Weather doesn't look good tonight. Hopefully they can get it in. McAllister on the mound.

If the Tribe was losing, they would wait this out as long as possible. But, they are winning, so they will call it at some point I would assume with Tribe getting a W.

Also, look at the Astros recently. They arent winning a lot, but they are really playing teams tough. Just played Cinci tough, beat Oakland 2 times a couple weeks ago, etc.

For those interested....a 2-way tie for the wc...home team is determined by head to head. If tribe ties w/ Tampa or Baltimore, the tribe travels. If tie with Royals or Rangers...then tribe is at home. I didnt include the Yankees because they are done.


Now if 3 teams are tied, ooh boy, gotta study up on that.

If there is a tie for the second wc position, I think they play a game to break the tie.

so a play in game to get into the play in game....i'd still rather have a 3 game series with the two wildcard teams.

Agreed 100 percent. But it might work in tribe's favor this time since it will be Ubaldo's turn to pitch. I doubt if the competition will have that hot of a pitcher to face him.

No way. This is great for baseball. If your a WC team, you shouldnt be guaranteed anything other than a 1 game playoff.

Then, if you win a division, you SHOULD get a team who had to play a play in game, and, possibly, use up their #1 starter.

MLB had an issue and it was the Division Champs were not being rewarded nearly enough. I love it this way. Really makes the regular season champions mean a lot more.

On a sour note, tribe has plated only 4 earned runs in the last 26 innings. That needs to change. I think a 6-0 home stand is a must.

6-0 and we likely have breathing room to split at Minny, imo.

anything less and we will have to win that series outright.
