Dogs can be good people but there is something not right about a human being picking up the feces of an animal.
I simply don't think we were created to get down like that (literally).
Dogs probably look at their owner after they have taken a shit thinking:

- Why is that human stealing my shit and putting it in a plastic bag?

.

How do you feel about this serious fecal dilemma?
Leave that shit or bag that shit?
Should humans even have dogs as pets?

My dogs know where to shit and its the backyard. Plus they are small dogs so their shits are baked solid to about a 1/4 of their original size in less than 24hrs in the dry days of summer. In spring the rain quickly disintegrates them. The winter shits are frozen solid and harmless until spring where the first hard rain takes care of that minefield. In the fall they are covered by the falling leaves.

I clean the poop every time before I mow, and here and there when it is in a general walkway.

^^^ THIS !!!

We clean up after our Dog in our back yard and when out on walks. The last thing I want to smell on a hot summer day is stinky dog poop, while I'm on my patio having a Barley Pop. Plus I could be fined by our Condo Association for not doing so. I just think it's common courtesy.

What do you do with the feces at home? I have a big bucket that I sit by our shed out back that collects the dog poop until trash day.

If we are on a walk we'll throw the bag in the dumpster. We have a sealed bag on our back porch that we'll collect it in until it's full, then toss it in the dumpster.

Think Seinfeld did a bit on that. Something like what if aliens were watching us they would think that dogs were the superior beings because they see humans cleaning up their shit.

When I would bring our dog on a run that damned thing had an uncanny knack for shitting right at the 3/4 mark of the run/walk. No matter what route I would take the damned thing would shit.

And no..I wouldn't clean it up.

Have a couple down the street who just let their dogs run free as can be. Their friggin boxer was dropping land mines in my (and the surrounding neighbors) yard on a daily/nightly basis. Called animal control, the township, etc and nothing was done about it.

Apparently the guy who owned it was in an "on again, off again" relationship with his woman as they split up and he moved out to the country to stay with friends. I'm driving home one night and I see a white boxer laying dead right next to the road. This is probably 5 miles from where the guy lived and I was thinking "dang....that looks like that dog from down on the corner....no way he traveled out this far."

About a week later I'm talking to my neighbor, who also bitched about the dog, and he says "well....won't have to worry about that dog shitting in our yards anymore." He explains the story that they split up and the dumbass owner let the dog run free near a busy highway that frequently has semi's bearing down it and on the first day it gets hit by a vehicle.

Some dumbasses shouldn't own pets. It did solve the shitting problem in a most unfortunate way.

Great words of wisdom, blood.
However the dog is my sons pet. Being a midget I am not a fan of animals taller than me.
Life as a shorty shouldn't be so rough.
