Looks like the Clowney for Heisman campaign will be short lived.

He was lazy during the off-season and sat out a lot due to an "injury". Spurrier basically called him out to get him to practice enough to be ready for the season, but obviously he isn't in shape. He's just biding time until his pay day next Spring.

Wasn't it the day after Spurrier said Clowney would not play in the opener if he didn't "get healthy" that Clowney magically recovered from his injury?

LOL. Yeah, either the next day or a couple days later. Definitely wasn't long.

Anyone watching Ole Miss/Vandy. Robert Nkemdiche looks like he could physically play in the NFL right now. He's a beast. The Conner kid for Ole Miss is a stud to.

He got manhandled on one early play when he was on the right, but once they switched him to the left he looked better.

Besides Manziel, Im sick of hearing about Clowney this year. And Im sure we will get sick of hearing about Nkemdiche in the coming years. Then after they're gone, we will have to hear about Cam Robinson who will probably verbal to Bama next week. At least its linemen that are the top recruits lately.

Yea, his technique isn't anything special. He's a straight bull rusher right now, and Vandy's left tackle is very good.

Clowney is one of the few examples of a guy who shouldn't even be forced to play. I wouldn't blame him one bit for taking it easy this year. He's a top 5 pick no matter what. Getting in shape for someone like that is very easy.

South Carolina claims Clowney is in the best shape he has ever been in. I'm not sure he was healthy tonight.

There were rumblings that he had a stomach bug.

Which the old ball coach basically called Bs at halftime. Said he said he has a stomach bug, ,something none of us knew about. Clowney was making excuses for being dominated by a freshman rt and a te all night.

Clowney being "dominated" is not my concern. My concern is the same one that scouts have been saying since watching last season's tape: takes wayyyy too many plays off.

I liked what I saw from Nkemdiche though.

But South Carolina -11 ftw
