Dude refer to Rotinaj's post. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about re: S-Jax

Other than last year - when has Sjax out score MJD? I play in a standard ppr league, so the numbers may be different for you, but he hasn't. And MJD plays for the jags and they sucks worse than the rams. Sorry you drafted an overrated back who hasn't done shit since 2006.

Oh, and Chris Johnson doesn't exactly play on a contender and consistently out scores Sjax. Keep riding 2006 though.

I have a negative fantasy football view of Steven Jackson just like RDI. Just looked up his numbers and they were better than I thought they were. Him not scoring many TDs has been the biggest reason I'm negative on him as well as the fact the dude has been in the NFL for 11 or 12 years now. Just feel like he has carried the load for a bad team for too long and has to be worn down. The Michael Turner 11 TD stat is the one that makes me think SJax could have a bigger year than I have thought though.lhslep134;1492387 wrote:Dude refer to Rotinaj's post. Let me repeat myself because apparently you didn't get it the first time. MICHAEL TURNER had 11 TDs last year averaging 3.6 ypc. If Sjax still played for the Rams, then yes, they would be rated ahead of him. BUT, he doesn't. ALL of the draft rankings I have seen have him ahead of them.

Also, the Rams have won 3 games or less in 4 of the last 6 years. They've definitely been worse than the Jags.

I don't hate SJax and I think he will have a great year now being with the Falcons. SJax biggest knock is that he never scored TDs. I expect that to change. I just like MJD a lot this year. I think CJ2K and SJax will be close so that one goes either way for me if CJ got taken right before my pick I wouldn't be sad about getting SJax and vice versa. I'd definitely take SJax over Ridley in PPR though.

Turtles, it wasn't about liking someone over S-Jax. It's about liking players over S-Jax and then using completely wrong information to justify that opinion.

Since 2005, Jackson has at least 1,300 total yards in all but one season, which was 2007 when he was limited to 12 games. He still managed 1,273 total yards that year. We'd like to see Jackson score more (he has one season with double digits in touchdowns), which should happen with the Falcons,
But don't let facts get in the way RDI!

O I know I just wanted to throw out my opinion of SJax since some others had as well.lhslep134;1492435 wrote:Turtles, it wasn't about liking someone over S-Jax. It's about liking players over S-Jax and then using completely wrong information to justify that opinion.

that's nice, still has less points than cj and mjd in my league over the past few years. Yards are nice, touchdowns are better. Sorry, i'll take someone who has been doing it better. Not a fan, to each his own, but i'd never be happy he was on my team.lhslep134;1492440 wrote:But don't let facts get in the way RDI!

Is lhs the only guy that puts out a thread to rate his team and then blasts anyone who doesn't think his picks were perfect?
For what it's worth, I actually like the SJax over MJD pick just due to SJax being on a MUCH better offense.

I feel like you're completely disregarding the fact that Jackson is in a completely different offense this year. His previous years have no bearing on what he should do this year.Raw Dawgin' it;1492483 wrote:that's nice, still has less points than cj and mjd in my league over the past few years. I will say that sometimes the offense youre on can be detrimental to your red-zone touches. While Atlanta will be there a lot more, Matt Ryan will be throwing it a lot more often in those situations then Sam Bradford was.
You can also look at Micheal Turner who had a shit year YPC wise but had 11 TDs and say Atlanta hands it off plenty in the red-zone. But, Turner is somewhat of a bruiser, despite his speed (or former speed). Jackson in his old age is not so much a GL back. They may not trust him in goal to go situations liek they did Turner and throw it even more often. Best news is Quizz Rodgers is the back-up and he is a scat back who will never be a TD vulture. So that is good news for SJAX owners.

second round pick on a guy who scores more points in an offense he knows well or second round pick on a guy who hasn't shown he can do it yet on a good offense? Honestly, I'm not a fan of the guy, I don't think he sucks by any means, but for fantasy I don't want him on my team.se-alum;1492576 wrote:I feel like you're completely disregarding the fact that Jackson is in a completely different offense this year. I will eat my words if he does well, but I wouldn't take the risk when, imo, there is better value out there.

MJD is coming off a Lisfranc injury. Chris Johnson had 11/16 games of rushing under 100 yards last year. He failed to get 70 yards 8 times.Raw Dawgin' it;1492901 wrote:I will eat my words if he does well, but I wouldn't take the risk when, imo, there is better value out there.
Both are risks. All 3 players are in systems with opportunity to finish as top 10 players. S-Jax has been one of the most consistent runners of the past 7 seasons, getting 1300 total yards all 7 years except one (and he had 1200+).
Get off your high horse that S-Jax is somehow more risky than the 2 you mention.
SUMMARY: S-Jax is not riskier than either of the other 2. That does not preclude any of the other 2 from having better years (I'm unsure if you'll comprehend that)

Who left the game yesterday injured? That would be Steven Jackson.lhslep134;1493056 wrote:MJD is coming off a Lisfranc injury. Chris Johnson had 11/16 games of rushing under 100 yards last year. He failed to get 70 yards 8 times.

Like I said in a previous post in this thread, S jax has missed a whole 2 games in 4 years. Your injury remarks had no ground to stand on. Good call on mjd too. He's been amazing!!

So let me get this straight. You come on here when nothing has been said in 3 weeks, you make some remark about one of the most durable backs in the league leaving a game for an injury.Raw Dawgin' it;1501463 wrote:Cj2k > Steven Jackson
The point of your remark is to somehow say that CJ is better than Steven, because Steven got injured, even though Steven has more points through 2 games than a healthy Chris Johnson?
I think I got that straight, so I only have one conclusion but I don't want to say it for 2 reasons. 1) I'm trying to be less of a douche. 2) I don't want to get warned.
