Many seem worried about the Raiders or Patriots or how hard the Bengals will play.

Gotta take care of what we can and beat Miami....I mean it's disappointingly obvious anyone can beat the Steelers.

The Steelers won't beat the Patriots anyway. The way the secondary has played, Brady will have a field day.

If the Steelers got in and played Cincinnati I think they would win the third meeting. I don't think that's even possible, though.

I'm pretty much figuring the Bengals are going to lose to the Jets, so the Steelers need the Patriots and Raiders to win.

If Brady plays the Patriots will win. He is in postseason form now and it takes a lot to beat him when he's playing like that.

Oakland has a chance. Baltimore is 2-5 on the road. The Raiders moved the ball well last week but had a lot of penalties and turnovers in the red zone. Michael Bush is emerging as a tough runner and they have some decent pass catchers in Murphy, Schilens and Zach Miller. And their special teams are great with Janikowski and Lechler.

Any chance the nfl offices call the Bengals and tell them since
the game is on national t.v. that they should play to win?

Cinco seems to think that he is playing the whole game. Take it for what's it's worth.
I hope they play to win but I cant see it.

I'm just hoping New England and Pittsburgh win at 1 p.m. to make the rest of the evening interesting.

Oakland did beat Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, so maybe they have a shot against Baltimore.

Injury updates

Keisel is out, should mean Ziggy Hood

Hines practiced Friday after missing the two previous days, he's expected to go with two sore hamstrings

Polamalu practiced on a limited basis all week and probably will be held out again

Bruce Arians' pass happy offense has led to some prolific numbers

Ben Roethlisberger 4,108 yards passing

Hines Ward 87 rec 1,106 yards

Santonio Holmes 78 rec 1,243 yards

Heath Miller 71 rec 733 yards

Mike Wallace 37 rec 692 yards (18.7 yards per catch)

but the Steelers are only tied for 13th in scoring

That's the side effect of Arians' offense. Awesome numbers, but poor red zone performance due to the lack of a true running game. Pittsburgh's as good as anyone at moving the ball between the 20s, but when it comes time to get those tough red zone yards, that system leaves much to be desired.

Santonio has had a good year but I'd say his reception numbers should easily be at 100 or above.

He is like Jerry Rice with his ability to catch the short pass and run.

He should catch about seven per game which would work out to 112.

You wonder if their defense had been as strong as last year where they would be at.

Probably 13-3/14-2

I dont think a Baltimore win is a gimme. They sound a little banged up.

Oakland just isn't going to score much. The defense has to hold up and keep Baltimore around 17 points.

oh by the way, the Steelers-Dolphins game will not be easy

the Dolphins will strike early, maybe a kick return by Ginn

then the Steelers will spend the rest of the game playing from behind

I think it comes down to a Jeff Reed FG to either win or lose it, it won't be tied, it'll be like 24-23 when he attempts it

Yeah, even if the Steelers take care of business....I don't think they're going to get the help they need to make the playoffs. And that's their own fault.

Oh well. Can't do anything other than sit here, cheer and keep my fingers crossed.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Texans get in if the Steelers don't

they also need a lot but would be dangerous

Cowher, Esiason, Marino and Sharpe all picked the Steelers to win.....but then they all picked the Texans to win as well.

I don't see how the Patriots can win

Brady is banged up and they're missing some big guys on defense

They'll need to hit some big passes early
