1. Get up at the last second, and many times late. Rush around like crazy. Maybe grab something to eat on the drive and be late just as often as you are on time. 2. Get up in plenty of time. Have enough time to make breakfast and clean up after yourself, get ready and relax a little bit and watch the news/espn? Also, do you consider option 2 being White Trash?

I'm option 2, so I guess, yes.

I'm definately option two. I don't understand why someone would routinely get up late.

If I error it's on the side of too early and then being impatient to leave for wherever I'm going. I think getting up early is a product of running in the morning. I've got to have time to run and still get done what I need to before leaving.

It varies for me, but usually option 1. Not because I get up late, I'm just a slow mover in the AM.

How would option 2 be the one possibly considered "white trash"?

I'm option 2 by default, I set the alarm not to have to rush, but usually am up before it goes off.

Since I do the leangains diet, it saves me about 15 minutes. I only need 30 minutes to get ready for work, thus I set my alarm 30 minutes before I leave for the metro.

I get up an hour and a half before I leave for work during the week. Same routine, feed the cats/puppy, make a cup of coffee, hop on the computer for a bit, shower, pack lunch, wake up girlfriend so she can get her daughter off to school, leave for work, rinse, repeat....

A little bit of both. I always wake up on time, and I don't use the snooze button. There are times where I just don't want to get out of bed, though. I will wait until the last possible minutes and then get ready faster than normal.

I get up about an hour before I need to be at work. Unless I feel like laying in bed for an extra 30 minutes I never have to rush around to get ready.

I would think being late to work as much as being on time is a bit more white trash than #2.

I can't stand ppl who are habitually late. If I were a boss I'd fire someone who was always late. At my last job this POS was late by 30 min most days and thety just let it slide, so she continued to do it. SMH

I am neither. I don't really do breakfast, so I get up with just enough time to get to work on time. Unless there is an accident I am never "late" (not sure what late even is, can get to work between 8:15-9:00 and no one would care).

Did she have an agreement with the company? I know my wife is always late for work. She's supposed to start at 7:30, but she gets there at 8:30. Our son is open enrolled in a different school district, so she has to take him to school because a bus doesn't come by. So they allow that, and in return, she just works through her lunch break.

Option 1 for me, but I'm not late. I get up at 4:30AM and don't wish to wake up any earlier.

Nope she was just a POS. Usually left before me, and called in sick frequently as well.

Agreed. If being responsible so I'm not late for work makes me "white trash", well pass me some meth and a banjo !

I wake up, head down the stairs to the home office, shit around 10:15am, workout at 11:30am, shower and head out on inspections if needed.

Because I do a lot of night/weekend stuff, I have a certain amount of freedom most days as to when I come into the office in the morning, so I pretty much wake up, have a leisurely breakfast, surf the net and then get ready at whatever pace I want. If I do have to be up early, I cut down on the net-surfing and move quicker through the other stuff.

That's the thing, is someone on a fixed schedule. At my workplace, only those whose job requires that certain hours be covered have rigid start times (i.e. receptionist, help desk).

On the white trash thing, I don't think either option makes one white trash, but would guess that more white trash (those who actually have to be somewhere) are more option 1 types.
