I fell asleep with the TV on and somehow was cognizant enough to hear the home run.

Big win.

I cant believe we managed to get out of the bases loaded 0 outs jam.
Another HUGE play was Joe Smith picking off Hamilton on second base. Next batter hit a single that would have scored him and put the angels ahead.

They should have lost 4-5 times, honestly. Great defense to be able to win

With so few games to go, they are obviously all huge. But after the momentum of last night, our ace on the mound needing a long outing and the As losing today (losing 2/3 to Seattle also) it becomes that much bigger

If only we could have taken another game from Oakland with a win tonight we would have been a hand game out. Oh well a win puts us 2.5 back

Swisher can stay hot for the next 2 and half months and that would be cool with me.

It is getting bunched up. Gotta worry about the Yankees now as well as the Red Sox, Rays, O's, Tigers, Rangers and A's. Want them all to lose every night.

Good God. Did anybody just catch what Underwood just said about Ichiro???

He got his 4,000th professional hit today.

Underwood: Now, is that 4,000 here or total?

Are you kidding me??? The record is 4256 here...that would mean Ichiro would be a shoe in to break Pete Rose's record...unreal how awful he is.

It's good to see this offensive run for him....I've been waiting and waiting for it. Like you said, let's hope it a sustained one.

Tigers rally and overtake the Twins in the seventh. 2 out 2 run double.

Great start for Masty. Hill found a way to get Hamilton. Let's see if the back end guys can get it done.

Allen scatters a double that was about a foot away from a homer around 3 strikeouts in the 8th. A couple of insurance runs would be nice.

There it is! Big insurance run.

Bloop single. Wild pitch. Ground out. Wild pitch and the Tribe lead 3-1 and now have runners on the corners with 1 out.

Swisher with a DP ends it. But with Perez on no rest, a 2 run lead looks a whole lot better than the 2-1 advantage.

Boom! All 3 thank you very much. We need a Glittering Wahoo for this one.

Off day for the Tribe tomorrow. We will enjoy it tonight and I'll start the Twins series tomorrow at work.

Good job not playing down to a bad team and sweeping them.

And WTG, T-Bone!

Awesome, awesome series for a tired, overworked, bullpen.

Big time series win (sweep) for the Tribe. Get the pitchers some rest tomorrow and come back ready for the quick homestand versus the Twins.

Wouldn't say it was a great start, but it got the job done. He was throwing more balls than strikes most of the game.

Just when you think this team is down and out, they pull off a sweep on the road. Very big.

Way to go TBone! Keep it goin!

Tribe keeps their faint playoff hopes alive going 6-3 on the trip. 2 of the wins came in extra innings in games they probably should have lost.

Tribe is at home for 19 of their last 29 games....but have 6 roadies coming up soon against the 2 best teams in baseball. Somehow need to split those 6 games or better.

I hope we are within 3 games in the w. c. chase on September 3rd.
