Yeah, that guy won't be much. He is a spot starter at best

Tribe hit the ball pretty well last nite....just right at people....and yet another good pitching performance wasted. The team does not seem to have quit, and just seems to be having a run of bad luck....but I don't know how much more this can go on. By the time returns for their next homestand, the season could be over.

If they win the next 2, then 2/3 versus Oakland, we will be right there about 2-3 games out. And with Tampa losing, though I assume they pull away again, the 1st WC spot is back in play.HitsRus;1486143 wrote:Tribe hit the ball pretty well last nite....just right at people....and yet another good pitching performance wasted. Damn! I was hoping the Tribe could win 0-0, but the Twins just hit a HR.

I realize I may be the only one watching, but Matt Underwood has gone full on Harry Carry on us. He has to be trashed right now. Through 2.5 innings, he has slurred his words at least 7 times.

I can't stand listening to him whether he's drunk or sober--Archie needs a new partner, period.Laley23;1486562 wrote:I realize I may be the only one watching, but Matt Underwood has gone full on Harry Carry on us. I dont understand how he was promoted to PxP duties so easily. He was TERRIBLE at the "sideline" reporter role for the few years he did that. But when the PxP position opened up...to my knowledge at least...he was simply promoted. No interviews were given to outside candidates. So dumb.vball10set;1486566 wrote:I can't stand listening to him whether he's drunk or sober--Archie needs a new partner, period.

Underwood blows. What can we the fans do about this? Protest? Write letters? He is just awful. If he were drunk at least it would give him an excuse.

He is pretty bad. Who was the old announcer and where did they go? Never got to see the Tribe on TV until STO was formed.Laley23;1486569 wrote:I dont understand how he was promoted to PxP duties so easily. We leap frog back in front of KC. Would have been nice to take 2 of 3 against the Angels since the Tigers lost 2 of 3 against the Yankees.

Tigers lost again tonight to the white sox. Tampa and Baltimore also lost in the WC race.

The next couple of weeks are huge. If we can hang around in both races by Sept 2nd...we will have a chance. We have a big series vs the O's at home to start Sept and then a bunch of games vs the Royals, White Sox, Twins and a series vs Houston thrown in as well.

Good pitching from everyone involved ( even CP) Not a lot of hitting, but enough to get the win. Gomes continues to put up the hits. He's been the best surprise this season.

Carrasco looks like he is going to take the suspense out of this one in a hurry.

Carrasco is terrible. Even worse, today he is doing the thing that pisses me off the most. I think 5/7 hits so far have been 2 strike pitches.

Gibson is rocking a 6.43 ERA, I'm sure our offense will explode for runs in no time!

Luckily I can't watch, but I can't stand it when pitchers give up 2 strike hits. I can accept a Major League hitter is going to beat you with 2 strikes, but not for piss rods into the gap!Laley23;1486922 wrote:Carrasco is terrible. 2 strike hits are ok every once in awhile because...well...these guys are good. But 0-2 and 1-2 bullets is unacceptable. Make a better pitch. Throw a few in the dirt or off the plate. Make them guess whats coming. Change-ups and fastballs that catch the entire plate are going to get hammered.
