Tigers in 3. The Indians go 9-1 in their last 10 and can't even make up a game on Detroit

I know all of the sarcasm here but seriously this is a great lineup. Jackson-Hunter-Cabrera-Fielder-Martinez is probably the best Top 5 in baseball. Omar hit well before the DL, Peralta was an All-Star SS and Iglesias is hitting .330. The holes however are Avila who looks like he's swinging an oar at times and Dirks who is only hitting .248 this season.

Tigers schedule is very manageable the rest of the way, if they get hot in September they win a ton of games, 2 series with the Royals and White Sox, 4 games against Seattle and a series with Miami and Minnesota

Whoa there. Careful in including the Royals in your squibb list. Have you seen their lineup since the All Star break?

This could very well happen.

Seriously though the Tigers are fucking great. I just don't understand why Selig won't call the season and just hand them the World Series. Indians don't stand a chance in this four game set.

They all definitely brought the big bats against the Pirates, what with those two 11-inning shutout losses. I know I'm shaking with fear!

Yep. It's why I don't accept going 2 out of 3 as being good. In the Marlins Series the Indians lost a game to the Tigers by going 2 out of 3.

Both the INdians and Royals have won 9 out of their last 10 and didn't make up any ground on the Tigers.

You guys are making this a big joke, but seriously, let's look at the position by position breakdowns.

Position by Position (Det. vs. NYY)

Catcher - Alex Avila vs. Pat Collins (NYY) - Advantage Tigers
1B - Prince Fielder vs. Lou Gehrig - Advantage Tigers
2B - Omar Infante vs. Tony Lazzeri - Advantage Tigers
3B - Miguel Cabrera vs. Joe Dugan - Advantage Tigers
SS - Jhonny Peralta vs. Mark Koenig - Advantage Tigers
RF - Torii Hunter vs. Babe Ruth - Advantage Tigers
CF - Austin Jackson vs. Earle Combs - Advantage Tigers
LF - Andy Dirks vs. Bob Meusel - Advantage Tigers, but almost gave this to the Yanks. Pretty close.

Pitchers
Not going into detail here because Verlander, Scherzer, and Sanchez > Hoyt, Shocker, and Pennock and if you have to ask why then you don't know shit about baseball. Detroits starters would all go 7 or 8 innings so the bullpen doesn't really matter but just for shits and giggles it's not even close. Joaquin Benoit and Jose Veras(Det obv.) >>>>> Wilcy Moore and Myles Thomas(NYY)

So there you have it, after some research I do think it is reasonable to say the 2013 Detroit Tigers would win a seven game series against the 1927 New York Yankees.
