That's why Cingrani should be in the rotation. He's a young pitcher who is learning to really pitch, but Arroyo wouldn't be getting out of a man on 3rd, zero out situation with 2 timely K's and a nice pitch around. He easily gives up a sac fly or something.

When i see Heiseys OBP it literally makes me want to throw up. I know he's 1-1 today but wow.
Edit- Cozart too.

Explain this.

Partch to AAA, Villareal up? Does this make sense, with Partch who has almost all his options? Unless you need a spot start (God I hope not w/Villareal), I can't figure this out at all.

Good news...Broxton may be ready to be activated next week sometime, according to Dusty before this game.

Cingrani walks the games lead-off hitter and goes on to throw 30 pitches in the first and was lucky to give up just one run. Then he is the benefactor of two Reds aruns in the bottom of the 1st. And how does he respond? Walks the first batter in the 2nd!

Fortunately Cingrani goes on to get a zero in the 2nd, but Westbrook gets the Reds easily in the 2nd. So the Reds lead 2-1 thru 2, but the Cingrani has throw 15 more pitches.

Since Partch threw so many pitches last night, he would not be any bullpen help tonight or tomorrow, they brought up Villareal to eat innings should there be another blow-out. Dusty mentioned the ole saw in his pre-game comments that you'll win 50 and lose 50, and the other 62 contested games is what determines how the season goes. So he said they are trying to avoid hurting themselves in some of those 62, by burning out the bullpen in some of the 50 losses.

Lead-off double for the Cards, then a sac bunt. I'll bet they get the RBI that the Reds wouldn't!

Cingrani gets out of it! I wonder what the Cards scoring % is after a lead-off double compared to the Reds'. I'm guessing it would be at least double!

Huge for Mesoraco. Gives Cingrani some breathing room, hopefully he can get through 6.

That HR very similar to Bruce's 2 run one in the first game in LA that increased the lead to 4-1! Both happened with two out and runner on first.

Hopefully they can limit it to 5-3 at worst. Hell of a play by BP. Maybe his 2nd best defensive play of the year.

Sloppy on all accounts on the attempted 4-6-3 DP in the 6th.

Catcher running, it's on Cozart. They had him by 3 steps, you gotta at least get the throw out of the dirt...

Agreed, but the toss and the pick attempt were much less than stellar.

Dusty with a very good move on the Parra/Frazier double switch. Who'll pitch next? Hoover, LeCure? I vote Hoover.

Or maybe Ondrusek if the Reds score at least 2 here in the 7th, so that Hoover and LeCure will be more sharp for the anticipated rubber game tomorrow.

Bruce missed his one pitch to hit on the 2nd pitch(1-0)with no out and bases loaded, then lost his focus and fell for the junk and K'd!

Robinson had a great pitch to hit and popped it up, and Cozart, after being ahead 2-0 got thrown 3 great pitches to K. I'd like to have seen him take the 2-1 pitch to RF.

Hoover comes back from 3-0 to get Holliday with a little help from the ump and a lot from the hitter.

Red Sox get out of a bases loaded, no out situation. They lead the Diamondbacks 3-2 heading to the bottom of 8 at Fenway.

Jonny Gomes threw a seed from LF to gun the tying run at the dish.
