Harris claims that Michigan is still #1, and that his decommitment is more about missing out on seeing other schools and such.

Of course, I don't believe any of that.

It's funny that UM fans claimed it was a "non-story" when Bucknuts brought it up. Doubt they care much now that Gibbons and Lewan are done.

It was a non story when Bucknuts brought it up. In fact the story was 3 years old. One suggestion was that the issues the Medical Center had forced them to "re-evaluate" some cases that hadn't been pursued previously.

It certainly wasn't a cover up, as much as you'd love it to be. Gibbons was a sucky freshman kicker under Rodriguez when this went down. There was nothing to protect. There was a breakdown somewhere, but it had nothing to do with football.

No one from Michigan likes this. I expect to hear quite a bit about this. It's a black eye for the university.

Claim what you want. They weren't right. They dug up an old story and tried to make it into something. That is different than what is happening.
