Back in the 60’s my high school class graduation was a little over 400 students.
Would have been a few more but some did not make it to graduation. With pregnancy, drug over dose, shooting deaths, runaways, suicides, jail and accidental deaths accounted for additional 25 to 30 students.
Right now I think my class is down to about 300 give or take a few we don’t know about.
What about your high school graduation class how many are still alive?

We've lost about a dozen from a class of just over 300 (1975).

I have absolutely no idea since I only associate with a handful of people from high school.
The rest of them were assholes.
I know for a fact one died while racing his car drunk.

I don't know of any passing away from my class of about 170.
The class after mine has about 15 people that have died from theirs.

Surprisingly only one 1 death (class of 2000) and that was 6 months after graduation (drunk driving single car crash), though there were only 91 people in my class

Class had 265 (1975). I know about a half dozen died within the first year after graduation due to auto accident, illness, etc.
I have no friggin idea how many are left and really don't care. Went to our 10 year anniversary thinking that by then most of the assholes would have grown up but it was more of the same except they were older and mostly with jobs.
Haven't been to another since then. My guess is they're still assholes only fatter and balder.

I think only one death in my graduating class of 176 from 2003. She died a couple years back from suicide, shocked everyone.
This is the exact reason why I will try to go to my reunions. Never know when someone will go. It's sad to see people who are capable of going to reunions but choose not to go. Life is fragile and you never know when you get to say hi or bye to someone last. I always make a point to see people when I can. I don't care if I never talked to them then, people are important.

I hear what you're saying. Let's just say my class had a special breed of assholes. I actually prefer staying in touch with friends I made in the classes who graduated before and after mine. Words can't explain it.OSH;1480926 wrote:I think only one death in my graduating class of 176 from 2003. She died a couple years back from suicide, shocked everyone.

316 in the Class of '99. I can think of 7 that have passed away.
Lol. Sad? Anyone that I wanted to associate with from school, I still do. I don't go to my reunions because I have no desire to talk to jerk offs I didn't speak with then either.

I agree with you GoChiefs. I remember when my 5 year reunion came up facebook was just becoming really popular and a bunch of people asked me if I was going. It was only 2 blocks from where I lived and I still didn't go haha.GoChiefs;1480933 wrote:Lol. Sad? Anyone that I wanted to associate with from school, I still do. I graduated with 56 other people in 2004 and I am pretty sure none of died yet.

I plan on going to my high school reunion(s) because I live 2 hours away from where I grew up and hardly get to see my classmates and best friends from high school anymore. I generally got along with everybody pretty good as well.

Only 1 from my graduating class of 156 has died, and that was 3 months after HS graduation (tragic 4 wheeling accident). I will probably go to my 10 year reunion if we have one, but every night back home at the 1 bar is like an entire town reunion anyway.

I wonder how unpopular class reunions have become/will continue to become with the emergence of the internet, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

There's a lot of people I didn't speak with either. But that still doesn't mean that people aren't valuable. I'm also "away" from my hometown. So, it's an opportunity for me to reconnect with people and/or see my friends. To me, people are important, regardless of them being "jerk offs" 10, 20, 30 years ago. Times change and so do people. Never know when you may impact someone. Sometimes going to them may be the best thing for those people. I know my 10 year was great to be at. I wish more of my classmates went.GoChiefs;1480933 wrote:Lol. Sad? Anyone that I wanted to associate with from school, I still do. I sometimes think people are ashamed to go.

I think we have lost 5 out of a class of 45. Just had my 20th class reunion and I think only 15 people showed up.

I think out of 170 we have lost 5-6.

We graduated 92 and had 10 that didn't make it due to courses issues and what not (102 overall). The majority have made it since 2006 but we just lost a guy to a motorcycle accident this summer.

We had one death, but I'm going to conservatively estimate that 1/4 of the boys/men in my HS class have spent some time in jail. Mostly stupid drug related or DUI. I know of only one guy that did some hard time on a sexual assault charge, but he's paroled now.Trueblue23;1480972 wrote:None that I can think of, but a few are in prison
