Every new COD now is just more of the same with different maps and a few new kill streak wrinkles. And I've played all those Halo games before; quite a bit. Things like the Vault of Glass raid and this weekend's Iron Banner set Destiny apart for me. Though it looks like my opinion differs from this thread haha.

I'm a Destiny hater myself, but just wanted to comment on the new COD....I'm generally a COD hater for the last several years and haven't really enjoyed one since like MW2 or maybe even earlier, but Advanced Warfare is the best one in years....Glad I picked it up.

Just a heads up if you haven't tried it yet.

They released a statement last night about coming out with multiple patches in the upcoming WEEKS that "should" fix shit. So disappointed.
Yeah it's very frustrating, when I can get a few games in it is awesome but it's so hit and miss with these servers right now.

Has anyone with a ps4 had issues when watching blu rays? Every time I go to watch one my TV says "detecting" and doesn't get a signal. If I switch inputs and then go back it works.

My video game attention span is not what is used to be...It's seriously rare for me to get into a SP game and fully complete it.

The latest example being Far Cry 4...Loved it at first, great game --- Got to about 15 hours (50% of main story completed), and just had no desire to press on, so traded it into Amazon. It got very repetitive and I'm not a big fan of "Forced stealth" missions (oh, you alerted the guard, start over), which were beginning to happen more frequently. If you are into those type of games, though, I'd say give it a shot, it was fun while it lasted.

I just started Sunset Overdrive last night, liking it so far, but only like 45 minutes in.

I beat FC4 and really like it but you're right about the repetitiveness of the missions. They may subtly change the plots (kill this guy, blow this up, steal this) but it almost always entail killing one way of enemies, pause, then another which you could also just run away out of this magic zone and be equally safe.

You know what my other complaint was? By the time I beat the campaign, I had long unlocked every trait and weapon. My completion rate was 65-70% so I just had a bunch of misc shit to do like ringing bells and collecting books/masks. But what was the point? It was essentially a 1/3 of the game wasted. The campaign and actual missions were so short in comparison.

I don't think I've enjoyed a single Xbox1 game I've bought since release for longer than like 3 weeks. Looks like ill just stick to playing PC games for a little while. Currently playing some Heroes of the Storm. Good times.

I think that game looks pretty sweet. Doesn't come out for another few weeks.

Yes, that's on my short term radar, along with Wither 3, Bloodborne, and The Order.

I still spend a lot of time playing random Madden and NBA2K games. Madden was a lot of fun this year.

Working on The Evil Within now, great game, really creep and reminds me of Resident Evil 4 a lot. My only issue with it is the camera makes is difficult at times.

Wasn't the fact that they left the ending of the 1st one open-ended confirmation enough?
Wasn't the critically acclaimed success of the 1st installment confirmation enough that there would be a sequel?

open ended? I felt there was a enough closure. I mean, from now on it would be just them surviving. Also from my understanding, the Last of Us 2 isn't going to continue where the first one left off.

yeah, that story is done. They are going to live out their lives with his brother. They aren't going in any specific direction for any purpose(the whole story was them looking for the fireflies and they found them). The only story left is for them to survive day to day which isn't much of a story.

I guess in my opinion, that storyline/game was so successful/lucrative, that I just can't see a major corporation not dipping their hand in again for a money grab.

oh I am sure they will find a way. I just don't see it until at least 2016, probably 2017.
