I caved and kept my Amazon pre-order...Will be here tomorrow.

If it was coming out in November/December I would probably have passed, but there is not much coming in Sept/Oct, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Destiny is pretty good so far. You seem to get some good experience in multiplayer too which is nice.

So what's the verdict on Destiny?

There was a problem with the Amazon shipment for my preorder, so it is being delivered today (first time I've ever had a problem with Amazon).

As someone who thought the beta and alpha were just OK, kind of boring, I'm thinking of just returning the game without opening it. From what I've watched on YT and read on various forums, it seems like this just isn't the game for me.

I game alone, I don't play with IRL friends and family, I just need games that I can pop on and play for an hour or two a few days a week...This games seems best with others, and it's poorly organized to get into games with others that are not on your friends list.

With COD and Halo coming out in 6-7 weeks, I just think this game isn't going to last long initially unless they really pump out a lot of content as promised.

The campaign or whatever you want to call it is pretty fun. I've got through most of it without help of friends(theyre all higher lvls than me) The multiplayer part of it is lacking game modes but it has TDM and domination which are the most popular anyway. I'm pretty sure they will be adding more eventually. If you're only looking for something to play for a couple hours a week until Halo/COD come out I think you should just keep it.

Destiny.....just couldn't do it. Played about 5 hours or so and I was forcing myself to play it...Traded it in to Amazon, so it ended up being a $20 rental, oh well. I would always rather be playing Last of Us multiplayer, Battlefield, or PVZ Garden Warfare.

My amazon preorders are in for COD Advanced Warfare (first day 1 COD purchase for me in 3-4 years), and Halo Master Chief Collection.

Probable buys: Shadow of Mordor (pending reviews), Far Cry, GTA (might buy again)

Possible buys: Sunset Overdrive, Evil Within, Assassin's Creed, Dragon Age

I love Destiny, a shooter mmo with a great online matchmaking service. There are so many good games coming out this fall that I have no idea what I want to get lol

I watched it on PlayStation live the other day for about an hour. I had no idea what was going on most of the time. Didn't look fun to me at all.

Anyone played nhl15? Game looks insane.

A friend told me to order Destiny this weekend, I did...it comes today from Amazon...thinking about returning it without even opening it.

PLayed the demo and it's pretty sweet...Apparently the full version is lacking a ton of modes/features that were stripped out when compared to previous installments, so the game is getting blasted for that.

I have a 6 hour demo from EA Access, so I'll probably spend more time with it and see if I feel like playing it more when time runs out...I'm guessing I won't, but will probably pick it up when it hits $20 or something.

People love it or hate it...My experience with it was: Go here, kill a bunch of people, use your robot guide to do something, kill more people...repeat. Just look at the Amazon reviews -- many praise it as the best game ever, then just as many people say it's the dumbest game ever...This happens with a lot of games, but it is the biggest split that I can remember.

I forgot I preordered GTA V for ps4...because I heard my ps3 stuff will transfer over(even though I don't have either of them anymore). So with that said, I think Ill just play Madden, BF and send Destiny back for full refund.

I have been playing the shit out of Madden 15 on the PS4. Couple buddies and me have an online franchise going on. Really like it.


Anyone pick up FIFA yesterday? I'm sure it is great like usual.

It's definitely a game you have to put a lot of time into, once you beat the story mode you can go wherever and do raids and different missions. The game pretty much evolves the more you play it but if you don't have the time or patience to put into it I can understand that thought process.

This year's Madden is probably the best they have made in over a decade.

Agreed. First year I've enjoyed a madden game in a long time.

Shadow of Mordor reviews are killing it -- preordered....Comes out next week and will occupy me in October until COD/Halo/Far Cry in November.

I watched a little bit of it on Twitch. Looks pretty awesome.

Played Mordor for the first time last night...Only about 2 hours in.

Combat is great, graphics are pretty good, story seems solid enough so far...Camera can be a little wonky sometimes.

I'm looking forward to getting further into the game to see how the "nemesis system" plays out more...From the vids and stories I've read online it sounds like a game-changer for future games. Like killing a certain captain via knife to the face, then he reappears later in the game with a scar on his face...Then you kill him again and he comes back with a bag on his head because he is so disfigured now, etc....

Mordor is awesome, but holy hell is it difficult. Trying to kill a war chief with 4 captains with him, yeah good luck with that.

While it's a bit older than current gen stuff, I was happy as hell to find the Wii's Xenoblade Chronicles for $45 pre-owned at GameStop a couple days ago. It's been one of those more rare games that I usually see for about $65 or so. And since it's considered to be one of the best RPGs of its time (basically considered to be a superior version of Final Fantasy XII), that was too good to pass up.

Have COD (PS4) and Halo MCC coming the next 2 weeks, can't wait, especially for Halo. It looks like they've done an amazing job with the collection and I can't wait for some CTF on blood gulch (or whatever they're calling it now).

Beyond those 2 I'm probably getting Far Cry and possibly getting GTA on PS4 and will get Dragon Age when I feel like I have to time to devote to it...
