Hard to rate for me.
I'd say like an 7-8/10 for both for what they are.
Both are lacking in some important things (for me) like DLNA. I use a program called "playon" that runs on my PC for certain TV shows and streaming movies, and I'm unable to use it on both the Xbox One or PS4, so it is the only reason I still have a Roku connected to my main TV. I think there are still some sound issues on both systems possibly (haven't researched it lately), but I don't care since these aren't hooked up in my "theater" room...The PS3 is in there, which works great.
PS4 has clearly shown it has an edge in the power department for gaming as many games have better performance/resolution on the PS4 version. Hopefully this is just development problems on the Xbox One side, but down the road I think PS4 will be the clear winner for games from a power standpoint.
Xbox One is great and it is on all day at my house...We actually use voice controls a ton, and use it for Netflix/hulu/youtube a lot. We could do the same with the PS4, but the Xbox One is always on and had the cable TV through it, etc, so it just makes more sense to use that XB1 for media mostly.
For my setup with the PS4 gold headset, it works so perfectly on the PS4 and it a great setup for $100...It works on the XB1 too, but you have to have a wire from the controller to the headset....Not that big of a deal, but I like the wireless aspect on the PS4.
Xbox One is coming out with great updates at a rapid pace, which is nice...I'm looking forward to the ID@xbox games (all the cheap indie games coming out soon).
If I absolutely had to choose a system, I'd probably get rid of the Xbox One (thinking long term)....I do not regret buying either and use them both quite a bit.
Both systems are lacking in the games department, which kind of sucks, but that is just what happens shortly after every console release....Think will be picking up later this year games-wise.
