Bought two while they were on sale....neat little thing but very limited. Good for Netflix, hbogo and Hulu. No Amazon video although I hear you can watch through the browser somehowlike_that;1550644 wrote:Now that has been out for awhile, what does everyone think? I have been thinking about getting one.

I have them all, that's why I am interested. Can you display your browser on the screen and surf the web?wes_mantooth;1550661 wrote:Bought two while they were on sale....neat little thing but very limited. Good for Netflix, hbogo and Hulu. It was cool, but I ended up selling it shortly after buying it (for a profit on ebay).
For our uses, we have other devices already that do more...
The chromecast is cool for a 3rd or 4th TV in the house, but couldn't be relied on as a central streaming device for us...just too limited right now.
I'd rather get a good deal on a roku for $50

I was using mine in my office for awhile. But it is on the other side of the house from the modem and my connection really sucked. I couldn't be online on my computer and streaming from my tablet at the same time. But when my tablet is hooked up with an HDMI cable, I have no problem streaming Netflix while being on my laptop.
I have been wanting to try it in my bedroom since that's where the modem is to see if I have the same problem. If I do, I'll probably just give this to someone because it's not going to work for me.

My wife likes it. She is able to watch Netflix in the bedroom when I'm watching sports.

How does it work with HBOgo?
I don't need it to watch it TV as I have cable but I don't have any premium channels. I watch all HBO shows through my buddies HBOgo account. Currently, I have to hook an HDMI cable to my laptop and control it through the computer. This seems like it would be way better.
