When you lose 4 out of 5 games...alll by one run....that's a sign that you head is not in the game. Mental errors like Stubbs last nite will kill you every time. Very simply put, he was not prepared for that play...and the 3rd base coach shares some of the fault for that debacle. At a key point in the game...especially at a key point.... you need to be clear on what you are going to do in any conceivable situation.

At my friend's we were flipping between this and the Reds and, yeah, not in it mentally is an understatement. Horrible defense, particularly by Chiz, early on plus Stubbs' brain-dead play in the 9th combined to just brutalize the team.

Speaking of errors, how about those three (two official) in the bottom of the 1st last night? Unbelievable.

I am a terrible writer because I always research ERAS and batting averages and stuff and skip that lol. Anyways, it's long bc it is a rant and lets be real, there is a lot to rant about right now

In like 1890...when they didn't play as many game...the best team winning % wise might have only lost 36 games.

Tribe bats showing signs of life today. 9 hits so far into the 5th inning. Cabrera has a 2 RBI double and Santana has a pair of RBI doubles. They have stranded a bunch of runners as well.

4-1 Tribe. M's have an unearned run as Jason Bay scored from 1st on a 2 out groundball to short. Cabera went to 2nd and threw it to the wall in foul territory down the 1st baseline.

Tribe starting pitching is not an issue anymore.

Outside of that terrible stretch by the entire team, this rotation has been fairly solid.

That's what is keeping me optimistic somewhat. You can survive on solid starting pitching and hope the bats get going like today.

Needed this one bad. Back to back dropped series isn't good. Need to get 2 of 3 vs Texas. Off day tomorrow...boys can relax back home and we have Kluber and Masterson Friday and Saturday. Darvish v Masterson Saturday will be fun.

You have got to believe that Kazmir may be fully back. In the 8th inning hitting 94 on the gun and is looking sharp.

Great performance overall with a 1 hitter over 8 innings.

Reynolds also needs to be shown the bench for an extended period of time. Rotate Gomes and Raburn in the DH for sometime because Reynolds needs to get his shit together.

Pestano works a scoreless 9th and finally one for the good guys.

10-1. Tribe pitchers have now gone 14 straight innings without an earned run. Hopefully that continues this weekend.

Kazmir may have been the steal of the season. He has been great and much better than anyone would have thought.

He has been lights out the last couple starts. He's actually getting stronger as the season goes on. I really expected the opposite

1 year contract for a base of $1 million. Can be $1.75 million with performance based incentives.

Yeah^^^^but will he be able to bolt next year is my question.??? If he can, then I'm totally miffed. I don't understand these kinds of contracts where you pay a guy to rehab him, then he's off taking his new found talents somewhere else.

+1. Always get a team option year. Just like the Cavs did with Bynum.

I don't think you can add a team option with minor league deals. I couldn't find anything on his contract outside of its only 1 year long.

Hopefully they are talking about extending even though I know it's normally against policy to negotiate during the season.
