Freeks and Geeks is the most underrated show of all time. Just look at the cast.

This roast has some definite potential. If all of Franco's buddies/co-stars end up roasting, it could be epic. I would love to see Seth Rogan, Craig Robinson, and Danny McBride on this.

It'll be a shit load of weed jokes. But I think this could end up being one of the better roasts in a long time.

I know who he is, but the only roll he's ever been "good" in is a roll that has him as a stoner, which he is. As far as anything else, he seems to have very little talent.

He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in 127 hours. As far as I remember, he wasn't a stoner in that movie. Nice fail though.

Never heard of that movie, maybe I'll have to check it out and see if that changes my opinion of him. But from what I've seen from his other performances I still stand by my opinion.

You referencing my post there? I could not care less about the range of Seth Rogan, Craig Robinson, and Danny McBride. I care that they are funny. And in a roast, they could be hilarious.

No, kind of talking to F4F, just making a plain statement. Of that group he is the only one with range to play diff roles.

I love Seth, Craig, Franco. McBride is OK to me, his act getting a little played out

I love when old clueless posters pull the "who is that" act and it blows up in their face.

+1 for Freaks & Geeks...great show. Undeclared is also solid.

Gotcha. And I would tend to agree with you. Although, the others in the group haven't really been in anything that could potentially show any sort of range. Even in the more serious movies he has been in, Seth Rogan has been the comic relief with minimal dramatic acting. Could be because of the lack of range. But it could be because these guys know their audience and just continue to stay the course without trying (or wanting) to branch out to a different role.

Franco has branched out, though. And IMO, has done well in other roles besides the stoner.

Hopefully, he becomes as good a performer as he believes himself to be.

Of all the movies he's been in pretty sure I've only seen one of the Spiderman flicks. Missed 127 hours and Freaks & Geeks.

127 Hours is about the hiker who was trapped and cut off his own arm. It's pretty gut wrenching, I didn't really care for it.

Freaks & Geeks is damn good, highly recommended.
