They had a guy on SVP Show saying the suspended him for the first half because he should have known that signing so many items could cause some suspicion and shouldn't have done it. But they had no evidence that he actually was paid for them.

Should have known better, so sit for a half. Gotta imagine they also made him pull down his pants and get 2 spankings too. And the ncaa probably even said "this is gonna hurt me a lot more then it hurts you"

You better believe manzeils legal team got those brokers to not talk to the ncaa. Without them the ncaa can do nothing. They asked johnny if he took money which of course he says no to, and thats basically it.

Pretty sure those brokers didn't talk so not to get blackballed from the industry. I mean who would ever want to go deal with them if they were to snitch?

It's not "as if", that's exactly what happened. This is A&M extending good-will towards the NCAA by offering them a "save-face" slap on the wrist.

Once I found out about the obscure Texas statute that would have extended liability to the autograph brokers, I knew none of them would come forward before or during the season.

Important note to keep in mind: the brokers can come forward after Manziel declares to go pro, show the NCAA proof, and the NCAA could possibly void their season anyways and the brokers face a much better chance of faring well in a lawsuit initiated by A&M.

I can finally comment without gagging over the travesty of this "suspension". GFY NCAA. Hopefully somebody removes this POS's spleen during a game this year.

"He's not a poor kid from the inner-city. Let's give him a slap on the wrist."-NCAA logic

One of the biggest tools I've ever seen. He's just completely unlikeable.

The only way Johnny Fuckup could be a bigger tool was if he played for Notre Dame.

While he's a mega-douche, I have to admit I love him openly mocking the NCAA

If he finds a way to some how beat Alabama in 2 weeks they will build a statue of him on the spot and never care about anything he does again.

If that happens it will be Johnny Football's world, and we will just be living in it.

I stuck up for this guy. Now I'm thinking he really does have jerk-like qualities. What a douchebag display against Rice.

Good article Pick 6 - makes a lot of sense. I've never had a sports figure piss me off like this jackass does, and I wanna see him go down hard...either legally or physically and I've never wished that even on Tebow but if a clean hit paralyzed this punk I'd shrug and say Lifes's a Bitch ain't it Johnny Fuckup?

So let me get this straight, you hate this dude so much that you basically wish he was paralyzed because he probably got some money for signing shit and he's cocky?

I don't really love him or hate him. But it's complete bull shit that they suspended him for half a game and other players get hammered. (If he took money he should have been actually penalized. If he didn't they shouldn't have done anything. As others have already said.) The joke here IMHO is the NCAA.

Dumb.

If he was in Scarlett and Grey or Maize and Blue(or whatever colors other Texas A&M), he would be worshipped. If he was a Trojan, I would like him more but wouldn't be a bigger fan of his than I am of any other player on the team, and I definitely do not hate him or anything. He is fun to watch. He probably needs to tone it down though on the field so he isnt public enemy #1 for the entire season.

I really think its a joke that he told his therapist that that the hardest part of his life right now is signing too many autographs. I hope he turns in whoever was holding a gun to his head when he was signing all of them.
