Two pretty good pitching match-ups. 2 former elite draft picks and prospects who are coming around (Bailey vs Minor) on Saturday and then the best pitching prospect in both systems (Cingrani vs Teheran) on Sunday.

Why is it again that Choo is in the 2nd spot and Heisey in the lead-off? Choo does what he has done nearly every game this week in his first plate appearance! Looks like we started the game giving them an out.

Another first inning on this road trip that ends with the Reds scoring many less than looked promising, this time zero!

A game example of the tech talk that Frazier gave in pre-game! His bare-hand grab left the ball too much in the heel of the hand, but he got it adjusted quickly to make a strong throw right on the money to nip Andrelton for the 2nd out.

Brave sub CF misjudged Cozart's drive for a triple and a virtually sure run for almost any team, but the Reds. Corky with a great opportunity for an RBI in his first AB in this stint in the Bigs.

Corky got it done, but it was iffy with the infield in. Close to a hit, close to a non RBI and an out, but the 3-4-3 FC ground-out worked fine.

Choo's finally starting to come back around again... He needs to permanently stay in the lead-off spot

Minor was robbed by Joe West on the Choo RBI AB. He threw 3 strikes and the count was 2-1 and the next pitch single to CF.

After Choo's poor choice of where to throw puts both runners in scoring position with two out in the 3rd, Andrelton hits a scorcher on which Cozart is screened by Constanza. But Cozart makes a very good play to get the ball knocked down to save one run, and then picks it up and throws to first in time to save the 2nd run.

Corky goes as far as you'll ever see a catcher go to get an un-caught 3rd strike and still get the out at first to end the 4th.

Homer snake-bit by 4 ground balls to start the 5th, and the Reds will be lucky to come to bat in the 6th down less than 3. The way Minor is pitching, it'll be tough for the Reds. Maybe Minor will get tired running the bases.

On the short come-backer with none out, Homer looked like a QB going thru the progressions, and finally making the right decision.

And Homer does a great job getting 3 outs with Minor on 3rd, to hold the deficit to 3-2.

Andrelton does a great job getting the tag down on Bruce after having to raise his glove up to take the ball on the hop.

Highly in doubt in light of that lead-off single by Johnson.

Did Homer forget there was a runner on 2nd? He didn't take all the progressions that time, and the one he should have taken, the first one at 3B, he didn't even look at.

Costs him a run! Why can't Reds hitters hit it like the Braves(and Cards)? Coaching I believe. Bailey does indeed get thru the 6th, but with another run allowed.

The trend of Reds power pitchers not being able to hold leads continues again today!

Parra with 94 mph? With Chapman's 104 last night, I question the calibration of the "gun"!

Parra has been throwing 93, 94 consistently all year.
