Learned they really are not flies. They are beetles.
I probably wouldn't have chased them as a kid knowing this. I hate beetles.

Anybody have fireflies in their backyard?

They are lightning bugs...only **** and one hit wonders call them fireflies....also lighting bug baseball ftw.

Only pfhags and ND fans say "pop" because to mostly everyone "soda" is correct.
As for fireflies or lightning bugs...........both work for me.
