Hell he should just bunt even w/ 2 outs. What's the difference?Midstate01;1468828 wrote:If a team has a lot of lefties, arroyo will get shelled.
Cozart is TERRIBLE
if a runner is on and less then 2 outs, he should be made to bunt at all times.

All the lefties are making it very tough on Bronson. Situational hitting killing the Reds still. 3 hits in the first and no runs due to a very poor situational AB by Cozart which took the guts out of a possible big inning! Anytime you swing at pitch when you have no strikes you should average 4 hits per 10 swings. 4 hits and 6 outs is not good enough. I'm betting the Reds average less than 2 hits out of 10 swings on no strike counts! Fouls are bad for the offense, unless you have a 2 strike count, then they are very good!

Is there a regular player with an OB % lower than Cozart?

Not sure how many AB you are dealing with but Ted Williams, Babe Ruth and Bonds?

When down, I think Votto takes the right approach. Lets get real. When he's leading off the inning, I'd rather him K looking for a walk.
Where I disagree with his approach is when he's got guys on. Whe he's got a man on or more, he needs to be looking for doubles and homers, even if that means a lower batting AVG and OBP.

Gehrig is just above Bonds and Hornsby.....unless you are going back to the 1800's then they get moved down a few.

Gehrig was my 4th guess and he would've made it.

Again, like Latos but unlike Leake....Dusty with 2 outs lets Bronson hit with a RISP and a 3 or greater run deficit.

Saunders wasted about 6 pitches after his error....but still only 65 pitches thru 5
