I guess my question and primary concern would be if after all of this, a mod gets the boot and the asshole brigade gets off scot free, it really brings into question what exactly our purpose is here as moderators. If moderating the worst posters results in a relief of duty for the mod and a free pass for the worst posters, we're really nothing more than just a bunch of guys who have access to an extra forum.

I'm not saying that I don't want to help around here any more, in fact it's the exact opposite. I just don't understand what we're expected to honestly do anymore outside of the HS forums

I think Wes did his fair share of maintenance moderator work such as taking care of spam posts and spam accounts, fixing requests to thread title changes, etc.

Well DA retracted his vote (per the official poll thread) and that hasn't been done yet. So I'm not sure which way that counts.

Also, before I'm potentially no longer a moderator, I have one last suggestion.

No more pedo jokes anywhere, even the basement. If we're looking to retain or attract more members, I really doubt pedophilia "jokes" or remarks help in that regard.

I think it should be like congress and there needs to be a 60% majority to boot him. That would make a tie meaningless

What's funny is I'm sure they tried their hardest through a PM campaign spread their version of the facts to get people to vote against me, but that's okay, I wouldn't expect less.

Like I said, I'll be fine with whatever the result is. I'll still post. But I'm sure they will behave in the short term, but they'll revert back to their behavior and eventually something will have to be done.

I appreciate the support, but I wouldn't say that. I think Justin needs to do his e-mail inquiry for people who no longer post. Find out the results and determine the future of the site. And other mods will have to deal with the shenanigans of Like_That, CoA, S&L, when they act up. And the cycle will just repeat itself.

Eventually something will have to be done to break the cycle.

Well, the one good thing to come out of this is that they got their way.
