Nope. Love storms, and am hoping for a good one. Sadly, we never get much here in NE Ohio.

Just don't park your car under a tree.

Hope we don't get a derecho. Last year's sucked. I was without power for 4 days, and I had it good.

Same with me. I got lucky in that I had friends on vacation who like having someone to at least come around to check in on things while they're gone. And so I squatted in their place for those four days.

Actually, more like a full week, since it took about three more days for me to get cable back after the electricity returned.

I don't care about them. I'm not in a trailer.

My A/C feels great!

SPC bumped up their outlook for northern Illinois and Indiana from a moderate risk of severe weather to a high risk. They issue maybe 5 of those a year, so it's basically like forecasting the apocalypse.

The main thing they're worried about is wind, which would make sense should a derecho type situation develop

Western Ohio is still under a moderate risk, eastern Ohio reduced back to slight risk (so it will suck in Eastern Ohio, as usual)

I have no idea lol

Should anyone want to see what the values of similar parameters are when today's event starts unfolding, you can do so at the SPC's Hourly Mesoscale Analysis page.

Hopefully it doesn't hit NE Ohio until after 9 oclock. Flying to Charlotte at 8 out of Cleveland.

quote from Reddit
I believe those are pressure readings and the lower those numbers the greater potential for severe weather. That is usually something they look at for hurricanes as the strongest one usually have crazy low pressure readings. Not 100% on that but I think thats what it is.
