Heard last night that Swisher is hitting .111 since the Chapman incident in Cinci. He needs to get past this slump and be the guy that sparks the team, as I just don't see anyone else capable of lighting a fire under these guys other than him.

what a bunch of negative Nancys....I assure you, this team will win again. Let's start tonite. A team is never as bad as it looks when it's on a losing streak.....just like it is never as good as it looks when it is on a winning streak.

^^^One thing is for sure...as bad as we've been, and as bad as we have been playing, we were in every game in Detroit. Those guys are beatable. I'm not saying we are better, just that i'm not giving up, and I'd be damn sure neither is Francona.

Yeah, I im not giving up either. But I'd take the middle of their line up any day. But, they are definitely beatable.

They haven't been the same team since Swisher had his baby. Maybe a coincidence but maybe the baby is bad luck. Needs to be baptized in the Cuyahoga for good luck.

With our recent success against Texas the last couple seasons, I'm not too worried about this series...;)

I seriously have no clue how good they are (I think about 85 wins is possible though) because they started on a losing streak, then got hot and not suck. We havent been "our true self" yet this year lol.

Hagadone again:(. After a nice defensive play bails them out, the guy gives up a gopher ball. Really Francona? ...in a tie game you let this guy pitch?....and to a right handed hitter when you had Allen ready in the pen?

I still cant figure out why he is even on the team, let alone pitching in close games.

This. I'm getting a little tired of Tito doing this crap. You play....to win....the game. Hello?

I would trade either (Homer or Arroyo) and Baker straight up for Tito

Druby is going to be out for awhile. Juan Diaz just not ready for prime time...even in a backup role.

I am not down on Francona, but I think he was asleep in letting Hagadone pitch to Berkman. That was a key moment in the game.

I think Hagadone is a head case. Ever since he broke his hand throwing a tantrum after getting demoted to AAA, when he's up in the bigs , he is pitching like he's looking over his shoulder for another demotion..... The guy has major league talent, but he needs to believe in himself and trust his stuff. Unfortunately, he seems to be getting put in situations where he is set up to fail, and when he does it just reinforces his mindset. Francona needs to let him have success and then get him out of there. Build a string of successful outings so Hagadone gets some confidence in himself. I don't know if this makes any sense to you guys reading this...but I think Hagadone's troubles are all in his head.
