Ugh. I dont really want this sereis to start. Chance to really get behind the 8-ball with a poor series and a chance to get back into this and put the pressure back on Detroit with a good series.

I think this ends poorly. But maybe my luck will start up again.

Good Ubaldo needs to show up.

Go Tribe!

Tribe are going through a brutal schedule stretch right now. I was hoping to come out playing .500 ball. Not going to happen. :(

Ubaldo is 4-1 over his last 7 starts with a 2.74 ERA. Hard to believe he's been the most consistent starter over that period.

Do we ever miss Verlander? Doesn't seem like it. Although I would almost rather miss Scherzer at this point. We have had some luck recently vs JV.

Yeah, I dont mind missing Scherzer at all. Recent form aside, he always kills the Tribe. JV on the other hand, has historically, been pedestrian versus us. I know I just jinxed it, but facts are facts lol

I think I read he's got an ERA of around 2 on the road and 7 at home.

I don't know. I'm not usually so optimistic but we have decent success vs JV. Tomorrow is Masterson vs Porcello. Good chance there. Sunday is a big mismatch for them but who the hell knows. Maybe some luck will go our way.

Scary Ubaldo is out there tonight. Trying to wiggle out of a major jam in the 2nd.

Hunter gets a rbi infield single that went about 75 feet. Then ubaldo walks in a run.

3-0 and bases still loaded for prince.

Could be over after 2.

Ugly game last night. Hopefully Mr. Clean is Masterful today. This is the most favorable match up.

Gonna' have to wait a day for JM

Prior to the game, Cleveland placed right-hander Zach McAllister on the 15-daay disabled list with a right middle finger injury and promoted Carlos Carrasco from Triple-A Columbus to face Detroit. Carrasco will make the start in Detroit while technically appealing an eight-game suspension.
Due to other rotation issues, Carrasco made his first (and only) start for the Indians on April 9 against the Yankees. In that game, Carrasco hit New York's Kevin Youkilis with a pitch after surrendering a home run to Robinson Cano. Carrasco subsequently was dealt the eight-game ban by Major League Baseball.
Originally slated for Saturday's start, Tribe righty Justin Masterson was pushed back a day to start Sunday's finale.

And Sanchez is missing a start tomorrow and Detroit is calling up someone. I guess that gives us an edge tomorrow, but I wouldve waited for this move with CC for two reasons. 1. Keep Masterson on his normal rest and 2. keep the edge in this game and make tomorrow a push/slight edge Tribe.

Now it is slight edge Tigers today and edge Tribe tomorrow, imo.

Tigers manager Jim Leyland announced prior to Saturday's game against the Indians that Anibal Sanchez has been scratched from his start Sunday due to a stiff shoulder.
The Tigers will purchase the contract of Jose Alvarez, who has spent the entire season in Toledo and will be making his Major League debut, after today's game against the Indians.

Def frustrating.... They have a legitimate chance of being swept in 3 consecutive series. They are what pretty much what we thought... A .500 team with iffy pitching

Bingo. I stated that at the beginning of the year. There will be some fun streaks and some disappointing periods. In the end, they are a .500 team.
