Izturis is batting .174 with a .269 OBP, Robinson is hitting .314 w/ a .429 OBP. I know we joke about SS having to hit 2nd, but this is fucking ridiculous.

It's not ridiculous...it's Dusty.

I really don't understand why every thread gets this comment. This is our manager. He does not hit anyone 2nd but the SS.

It would be fucking ridiculous if we DIDN'T have a SS batting 2nd.

BP would be hitting 2nd if Ludwick wouldn't have gotten hurt. I know the SS thing is a big joke, but Dusty has to have some kind of reasoning behind the madness, and I'd like to hear someone ask him about it.

Still scratching my head why Hannahan was DH last night. This lineup looks more solid.

Let's hope the Reds don't suck.

When Luddy first comes back...I wouldn't. I'd prefer they give him some time to get his swing back without the pressure of batting clean-up.

Once he gets back to his old form, yes...I'd move Phillips to #2 and Luddy back to clean-up. The lineup would be absolutely killer.

Six consecutive Indians hitters have watched a fastball for a strike on the first pitch, and four of them have gone 0-2 before making an out :(

And just like always, reds blow a chance and the opponent immediately shows them how its done.

Are you watching a different game. My TV shows 0-0 through 3 complete. How did the opponent immediately show them how its done?

EDIT...Just saw your response. Well played.

Indians fail too, but it wasn't quite as serious a threat with 1st and 2nd with one out vs. the Reds loaded and one out. I thought Speier should have tried to score the speedy Robinson on the Izturis hit with one out, even if there was a good possibility of him getting thrown out at home. If he does, you still have 2nd and 3rd with two outs for Votto, but against the lefty who might be too careful and walk him, and bring up BP drooling to get at the lefty. So I think you have a better chance to score in the inning if you send Robinson vs. not sending him. And we saw what the real result was - no runs!
