What was your first Computer or TV computer game you became addicted to?

My first Computer type game was Leisure Suit Larry .. this lasted about 4 months, it drove me crazy…

The worst was Nintendo LOLO game …. I made charts, drawings, past potential moves I was hooked, I stay up till 2 or 3 in the morning working out every move to the next level…

Adventures of Lolo? Damn, that one was a bitch.

For me it was Adventure on the Atari 2600. Simple game where you had to find a chalice and return it to your castle while dodging dragons (unless you found the sword) in a multi-screen maze. Had three settings:

1. Smaller map, two dragons.
2. Full-size map, three dragons, adds a bat that grabs items and trades them with others, so stuff isn't always where it should be.
3. Full-size map, has everything of 2 but it's all placed randomly, so you never know where to find anything.

I got hooked on 3 because it was essentially a new game every time I started it. Played it constantly when I was a kid.

Probably Mario 3 on the NES. I spent wayyyy too much time on it.

A little older, C&C Red Alert took up a lot of my time on the PC, as did Warcraft 2.

I was pretty into Mario 3, but I'd say Sonic was my first game I was really into particularly Sonic 3. As for staying up all night playing until my hands cramped I would say Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for PS1 though that was a christmas gift and lasted about 2 days). Then GTA3 for PS2. I played the shit out of that game, would stay up super late with that game etc.

Elder Scrolls Oblivion was my last obsession game. I would come home from work around 6 turn it on and I swear felt like 10/20 mins later it was 830 and I'd think "oh damn gotta eat". Eat somethign quick, think alright going to finish this then do soemthing else. Next time I'd look at the clock it would 1130. Say alright finishing this then going to bed. Next thing I know it was 2 am. SMH

Addiction was probably Mortal Kombat. Other games to which I was addicted, throughout gaming life:

Tony Hawk (all of them, but especially 2 & 4)
Metroid Prime
Dr. Mario and Tetris for Gameboy
Goldeneye (Wii)
Tiger Woods Golf (not sure of years, game cube)
Many of the Marios

AoE was def the first game I was truly hooked on. I was pretty damn good at it too. Would play all the time online. I even won a few tournaments.

Did anyone here every play on Mplayer? It was basically a site that had a server for people to play multiplayer games. They had over 50 games (quake, command and conquer, etc), and also games you could download. There was this game they made stricly only for Mplayer. It was called warsport. I was hooked on that game for a very long time until Mplayer was bought out by game spy.

Just a couple weeks ago, I bought Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the PS2. Has 1-6 from the NES, 7 from the SNES and the hilariously voice-acted 8 for the PS1. Great $10 purchase. I'm loving going through these games again. Did a couple stages from 2 last night. Crash Man and Metal Man.

AOE and Starcraft also were both heavily played for me during a spurt in the late 90's early 2000's

I'd totally love to tell you how I cruised through that thing with no troubles whatsoever.

Except I have this vague memory of aimlessly wandering around for a couple hours until by pure luck, I stumbled on the way to manipulate water levels or whatever to get through it. That place was a BITCH!

I took some summer classes at Columbus state with some friends and we used to commute to campus. There were days we would play Mortal Kombat before class and end up not going to class at all. We basically drove 45 minutes one way to play a video game.
