I dont know how, but they keep on winning. After the 4 game sweep of the Ms the Tribe look to increase their lead in the central to 4.5 games over Detroit.

Its the last 2 games of the homestand, lets go out on a high! Cannot leave Cleveland out of 1st, but would love to increase it.

Go Tribe!

I like to think I am playing a small part in this streak lol.

Also a big tip of the cap to all the Tribe posters who recognize our superstition and didnt jump the gun on any of the threads when I have been busy and get them up later than usual.

And if nothing else, we taught VBall the way we do things in a "series" fashion! lol

Somebody else starting a series thread right now would be like the SS going up the pitcher after he retires the first 26 hitters of the game and saying, 'hey man. I don't know if you knew this. But if you get this last guy out you will have a perfect game."

Scherzer and JV though. Won't be easy. And Miggy is hitting the ball about as well as anybody in the history of baseball right now. Locked in.

Definitely a great call of a great ending. Hammy is the best.

stat of note: Yan Gomes has thrown out 7 out of 11 base stealers.

Lol. Just heard Hamiltons call of the back to backs.

"Carl Willis out to the mound...to see if Iwakuma has a stiff neck, because it got yanked on those two home runs!"

Seeing some rumblings on Twitter. I guess Chris Perez deleted his Twitter account tonight. I didn't see if he went out with a parting shot or not. I can imagine he was getting blown up on there.

Eh. Get over it, I tweeted his ass too. When he does great he can take shots at the fans but when he does shitty he can't take it? GTFO. He needs to get his head out of his ass.

I don't know why players put up social media sites if they don't want to get shots from fickle fans. Nobody who plays sports doesn't have bad days or make mistakes....especially in baseball where failure management is an important part of a player's mental game. Even great hitters strike out with the bases loaded and/or the game on the line. Great pitchers give up runs and take losses too. Guys go thru hot and cold streaks. Putting yourself out there on social media is just an invitation to any jerk(most of whom don't know sh** and couldn't sniff hitting a 80 mile an hour fastball) to rag on you. Chris Perez is who he is...and that is, a damn good closer. He only needs to satisfy himself, his manager, and the ones who pay his salary.
