Cleveland is not in the same universe as Detroit. Cleveland is an awesome place. It has struggled with industry leaving, but it is pushing on. THere are good business opportunities here. The ammenities of a big city are all here - pro sports, first rate museums, theatre and symphany, an incredible restaurant scene, vibrant ethnic communities, a beautiful lakefront, first rate metro parks, a national park that is outstanding. I don't proclaim that Cleveland is everyone's favorite, but I don't accept it being compared to Detroit.

I grew up in Columbus - I'll always love it as it's my home town. But I prefer Cleveland after having lived here for some time. I'm glad to be away from the silliness the surrounds Ohio State sports.

Detroit has many business opportunities as well, however the outer cities have much more wealth than Cleveland. The problem with Detroit is it was the 5th biggest city in the country 50 years ago, and there are many many more buildings that are hollowed out. This is Cleveland's advantage, it's compact as Cleveland is only 82 square miles while Detroit is 143.

But Detroit has more pro sports and better teams, I don't think there's a better museum in the Midwest other than the Henry Ford, the Fox Theatre and Detroit Opera House plus the music that comes here is top notch. I will admit that Cleveland is much more diverse, has a better restaurant scene and the transit system is much better. The only way to get around the Motor City is driving honestly, however the suburbs in Detroit are nicer than anything in Ohio honestly.

I mean Detroit has 12 Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the region, 2 top 10 in GM & Ford, while Cleveland only has 6 and trust me I think Cleveland has really nice suburbs. To me it's a toss up, but neither touches Chicago

One thing I'll say about Ohio however is how balanced it is. I mean Toledo, Akron, Cleveland, Cincy, Columbus all have stuff to hang their hat on and not very many states can say that. I mean really Ohio is kinda like 5 little states into one

Nothing serious. I just lost my interest being away from it, that's all. I will agree that it isn't silly to a fan.
