Sergio now looks like a fool. And Tiger looks PC for feeling compelled to respond. By not responding, he could have come out looking good. Now he makes me roll my eyes - are you seriously "hurt" by the fried chicken reference? If so, you have much bigger problems than a mouthy nemisis.
I respect the hell out of Tiger's golf. The guy personally sounds like a complete jerk, but who cares. Sergio is probably not a bad guy, but can't seem to keep his mouth shut.

I couldn't disagree more. I think Tiger's response was not only warranted, but perfectly played, and Sergio looks 100% the fool in this case.Dr Winston O'Boogie;1446600 wrote:Sergio now looks like a fool. Ok, I will be the guy who says it. If Tiger didn't address the "fried chicken" comment, there would have been plenty of black people getting their panties in a bunch.Dr Winston O'Boogie;1446600 wrote:Sergio now looks like a fool. This reminds me of MJ. WE, as a society, have built these people up, to be on the top. They know no other way to act, b/c that is how we want them to act.Dr Winston O'Boogie;1446600 wrote:I respect the hell out of Tiger's golf. The guy personally sounds like a complete jerk,

Society builds them up, and puts them on a pedestal. People give them things, cater to them, etc., and they get it engrained into their mind/lifestyle that they should almost expect it.like_that;1446691 wrote:Society wants them to act like that, yet society bitches about them???
It's a lengthy read, but a good one:

His response caters to the complete overly politically correct. Sergio's stupidity required no response. If an adversary is planning on hanging themselves, best stay out of their way.vball10set;1446632 wrote:I couldn't disagree more. I read that article. I found it a little sad.ernest_t_bass;1446693 wrote:Society builds them up, and puts them on a pedestal. People give them things, cater to them, etc., and they get it engrained into their mind/lifestyle that they should almost expect it.

To your point, I personally don't expect perfection from any of these guys. If you take a cross section of people from anywhere, there are some more likeable than others. I don't find Tiger a particularly warm personality from what I see of him. That's okay with me, because his golf is why I'm watching.

I really have no respect for either Tiger or Sergio. Too many other good guys on the tour to root for.

I feel the exact same way, both are straight up dicks especially Tiger! However no way the media/ESPN let this die.

If tiger doesn't respond the blacks would probably have traded him to the asians in the racial Draft.
If tiger called sergio a cracker or said he should play hockey if he doesn't wanna lose to black people or something, everyone would expect backlash and sergio to react.
I think this has gone over really quietly actually. Im shocked it hasnt been blown up into a huge story.

Spaniards don't play hockey, they fight bulls after siestas.Midstate01;1446830 wrote:If tiger doesn't respond the blacks would probably have traded him to the asians in the racial Draft.

And occasionally box. Pretty sucky on offense, but damn tough defensively.Sonofanump;1446926 wrote:Spaniards don't play hockey, they fight bulls after siestas.
