-9! What the fuck!

Scoring must be real easy with all the rain and then they have a beautiful day today. Everyone is going really low on the leaderboard. But -9 is still impressive as fuck.

Wow...dude was 30ft from the hole taking his 2nd shot, and ended up with a +5 on a par 3.

The little guy from Sweden was unstoppable the few holes I watched.

Sergio bitching about Tiger and Tiger giving it back to him.

Sergio is a little bitch. He's will always find someone to play for a bad shot. Even worse his complaint wasn't even true the noise occurred while he was still standing over the ball not during his backswing.

Of course ESPN wrote an article about this incident. And I decided to read it and could not believe this made it through:
Garcia became annoyed early in the third round when he hit his second shot well to the right of the par-5 second hole. While standing over the ball (1), he heard commotion behind him as Woods was surveying his second shot from an area to the left of the fairway where he had to clear a path of spectators.

Woods pulled a 5-wood from his bag at around the time Garcia was over his shot (2) 50 yards away, and that simple act drew cheers from the spectators.

Television replays show Garcia was not in his backswing but standing over the ball (3) when the fans cheered, but he clearly felt that affected his shot.

Replays showed the noise occurred while Garcia was standing over his ball (4), not in his backswing. And Woods was surrounded by spectators and could not see Garcia; it is also unlikely he would expect cheering simply because he took a club out of his bag.

I added the bold numbers just to emphasize how incredibly repetitive that section was. I didn't remove any text between the paragraphs or alter it in any ways beyond adding the numbers. When reading through the article I actually had to stop for a second as I thought I lost my place in and accidentally reread the same thing.

Ya, how dare Tiger take a club out of his bag over 50 yards away from someone who isn't even swinging but just surveying his shot.

Pulling a club out of your bag, 50 yards away is hardly bad sportsmanship. Players pull clubs out of their bag all the time, when they are not close to their playing partners, while they are addressing or making their shot. This is typical Sergio crying and making excuses for a bad shot.

This. It's what Sergio has done since he came on the tour. He had been better about it, but this is very typical of the first half of his career

If someone breathes to loud when Tiger swings it draws a glare.

I was wondering when cc would play the "i played college golf, I know more than everybody here" card. We get it dude, you hate tiger.

Fact of the matter is Sergio is a bitch and has always been a crying bitch. I remember instead of making his putt to win the british open several years ago, he instead found something to QQ about.

ESPN even pretty much calls it Tigers fault by playing the split screen in that video.
He's got a caddy that can probably watch the shot. Also when players are shooting around 70, it's pretty easy to count how many strokes someone had on a hole

The information I was commenting off of is in my link. Which is from an article from ESPN as well. Sounds like they aren't even sure exactly how it went down if they are reporting different instances.

But from the video you posted. It does seem that the article might be off, but I would also argue that you are off as well.

It's hard to tell what audio is from which video. But it appears that Tiger did pull his club around the time of his swing. But Tiger obviously could not see him nor should he be accountable for the fact that the crowd cheered.

But beyond that, there are two sound events in that link. There is the first that is obviously the close sound from the camera following Tiger. You can hear this right away. Then there is a second sound event that is just a faded repeat of the first. This would be the time that it takes the sound to travel to the other camera which is away from Tiger and by Sergio. This sound doesn't arrive till after the swing and Sergio is already done with his follow through. Now, this could also be distorted depending on how far this camera is from Sergio and it's position amongst Tiger and Sergio. Is it between them, is Sergio between this second camera/mic and Tiger? Or is it some other configuration. But from that video it appears that the sound doesn't arrive till after the shot was done.

But in general, I think golfers need sack up. I understand this is a gentleman's sport with a bunch of that nonsense that follows that presumption. But I don't see how it can be construed that Tiger intentionally did this or caused it.

Players have a limited time to shoot, and Tiger was off in the trees figuring out the shot. Because of the crowd it appears he couldn't really see what was going on with Sergio.

This was just a simple incident and Sergio is the bitch here for acting like a baby and making a mountain out of a mole hill.
