Dougie just hit a 30-footer followed by a drive to the bucket to pass Elvin Hayes on the all-time NCAA scoring list. McDermott is now the 11th leading scorer in the annals of college basketball with 2,886 points. At his current pace, he'll easily move past the likes of Danny Manning (2,951), Oscar Robertson (2,973) and Hersey Hawkins (3,008) to eventually settle into the top five in history.

Just an amazing player. He has Creighton playing at a very high level this year.

I was waiting for Boeheim to put Jimmy Chitwood in the game.

Creighton might be a top 8 seed in March. They are fucking lights out right now.

^Agreed. If they win the both Big East regular-season and tournament, I think Creighton is definitely a two seed. The Jays are playing at an entirely different level than they were a season ago.

While Creighton employs an offense that places a significant emphasis on 3-point shooting, so does Duke and Iowa State. There are still enough additional components there for Creighton to make a big run. McDermott obviously is unstoppable, inside and out, but guys like 6-11 Will Artino in the post and slasher Devin Brooks on the perimeter have added a great deal of versatility. This is an Elite Eight quality squad.

On that note, if only Creighton and Wichita State played this year. That would've made for a potentially epic MVC championship game. Creighton-Villanova III should be pretty great as well, if it happens. I'd expect a deeply motivated Wildcat team if the two should face off again.

Marshall Henderson vs Florida. Much needed win for Ole Miss...if they can somehow pull this out.

Sean Kilpatrick has 21 points in the second half. Dude's a top five player nationally. He's so consistently great.

Cincy leads Louisville 52 to 51 with 1:53 to play. Win, and the Bearcats are on the road to a two seed. Louisville wins, and the Cards are. Huge game here.

I don't think that touched the heel. Not seeing any change in rotation.

Looked like a slight change to me, but either way...no way they could overturn the original call.

In regular play, yes. But the ref actually made the right call not granting it...since he was faling out of bounds. They arent allowed to grant TOs for that anymore.

Kansas is obliterating Texas at the Phog. Not surprised KU is winning, but very surprised by the margin.

Arizona appears to have created its new identity and regained form in the wake of Brandon Ashley's injury. The Wildcats are straight up kicking Colorado's ass in Boulder, up 86 to 56. They look really good tonight.

When Gordon and Tarczewski are playing well, I personally don't think there's a team in the country that can compete with their guard play and size. It's a real shame for Sean Miller that Ashley went down, because he made them that much tougher.

The San Diego State score surprises me. So does Temple being tied with Memphis in Memphis with 30 seconds to play and a chance to win the game.

If one game counts...then sure.

Cause they just lost 2 and went to OT vs Utah.

You do realize that the first loss came in the same game that Ashley was hurt, and the Wildcats still only lost at the buzzer to Cal, which is an NCAA Tournament team.

The Arizona State loss was in 2OT in a huge rivalry game. Another loss with no real impact on anything. ASU is full of talent and a team that can beat anyone at their place. And Utah, despite a less-than-stellar overall record, is another solid team who is outstanding at home (Utes were 16-1 at home heading into the Arizona game, including wins over BYU and UCLA and an OT loss to Oregon). Look at Utah's schedule/results. They've struggled on the road, but have been extremely competitive all year long.

My point is that Arizona is doing great without Ashley, and tonight they really came on strong.

My only point was they were not playing that well without him. Not sure I would say they are coming around because of one performance. Dont forget they also had a 2 point win versus Oregon...who has been abysmal since Pac-12 play started.

True about Oregon, but, like Utah, the Ducks are still one of those teams that have enough talent to compete and beat anyone on a given night, so I guess I sort of gave Arizona a pass on that. The game was in Tucson, though, so I'll give you that one. The other games, however -- at Cal, at ASU and at Utah -- aren't worrisome to me at all. Especially since the first couple came right after the injury.

I just like Arizona's balance more than anyone else's. We'll see.
