Count me in as a Stubbs hater. I still say park Stubbs and play Raburn in right when Bourne returns. At least until his 344 batting average collapses.HitsRus;1439169 wrote:Now 7-2 Tribe.
I don't know about the rest of you Tribe fans, but I'm really liking the deal the brought Stubbs, Bauer, Shaw and Albers. After listening to Reds fans rip Stubbs, I am pleasantly surprised with both his offense AND defense. I know Reds fans are really liking Choo, but I make this deal again any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Tribe on a pace to hit 224 home runs. And congrats to Ubaldo for winning consecutive starts...I think that is a first for him since 2010.

Rayburn is half the player Stubbs is. If Stubbs was a DH I'd agree with you.

He is 32 and in his 6th season. I agree he needs more time, because he proved in KC that he can play everyday and produce. But he isnt going to be anything. He is what he is.

Agreed. Honestly I would like to see him get some more playing time vs lefties at 3rd base

I was able to catch a few innings on TV last night. That Reynolds HR was fantastic.
It is depressing and embarrassing to see the attendance numbers, but it doesn't surprise me at all. I've been to three games so far (two last week) and have at least seven more to go. Parking is cheap, tickets are cheap, food and beer are (relatively) cheap. I always have a great time and the weather has been borderline perfect lately. I don't understand why fans aren't going, and I hope we don't make the owners and front office regret spending money in the off-season.

He is 32 and in his 6th season. I agree he needs more time, because he proved in KC that he can play everyday and produce. But he isnt going to be anything. He is what he is.

agreed. This attendance needs to pick up immediately. This team is fun to watch and money wise...it is the best value in town. I have my 10 pack of tickets, but I think I may have to purchase some more seatsFab4Runner;1439614 wrote:I was able to catch a few innings on TV last night.

Leave it to Bases Loaded to make an unbelieably ignorant statement. What is it about 345 BA vs 260 that you don't understand? We aren't talking about a small sample size here either. 70-80 plate appearances mean something.\bases_loaded;1439454 wrote:Rayburn is half the player Stubbs is. And as I type this I see Raburn double...and watch Stubbs look at strike 3...not once...but twice....and strand him at third.
Nobody knows if Raburn will continue to play like this. But in real life, you perform, you get rewarded. It's the way it works BL.
*Edit 353 vs 257 on the current batting averages.

This is coming from a guy who thinks Raburn brings more to the table than Stubbs. The only thing I agree with him is to ride raburn until he hits his usual slump

But at the end of the year, their averages and power numbers will be about the same. And at that point, I hope Stubbs has more AB/PA than Raburn cause he brings better defense and a shit-ton of speed to our line-up.
