And BP was right! I couldn't tell until that last view on the replay, but Descalso whiffed on the tag.

He does look super young. And he got it wrong.

And the ump literally couldn't have been in a better position.

I've said it a million times. If arroyo gives you 5 innings..you better have someone warmed up.

Andddd the cards lead 2-1

Can't throw 2, 75 mph curves in a row to a great hitter.

This is why Arroyo drives me crazy. You just knew every single inning he can completely change the momentum and it's not because he's bad. He's just not a guy who you can ever feel is cruising.

Very random..but I did not know Dusty Baker was the first person to high five someone.
It was the last day of the regular season, and Dodgers leftfielder Dusty Baker had just gone deep off the Astros' J.R. Richard. It was Baker's 30th home run, making the Dodgers the first team in history to have four sluggers -- Baker, Ron Cey, Steve Garvey and Reggie Smith -- with at least 30 homers each. It was a wild, triumphant moment and a good omen as the Dodgers headed to the playoffs. Burke, waiting on deck, thrust his hand enthusiastically over his head to greet his friend at the plate. Baker, not knowing what to do, smacked it. "His hand was up in the air, and he was arching way back," says Baker, "So I reached up and hit his hand. It seemed like the thing to do."[SUP][2][/SUP]After retiring from baseball, Burke, who was one of the first openly homosexual professional athletes, used the high five with other homosexual residents of the Castro district of San Francisco, where for many it became a symbol of gay pride and identification

Garcia gave it his absolute all to keep Frazier from reaching to start the 7th!

Down 2-1. This is where Dusty literally does not know how to manage a bullpen. Just watch.

How would you guys approach it? Remember, off day Thursday...

Oh yea. This is basically a give up game for now.

And I was close. Reds in order on 11 pitches.

Needed someone to get on in the 7th to keep Bronson from going out there and the Cards expanding their lead!

Chapman has worked 2 days in a row but hasn't thrown 30 total pitches, and he's all but unavailable tonight.

Yet they wanted to make him a starter...

Sooooo what's the logic here.

I mean it's an interesting debate. Bailey has been money the last 2 weeks going basically 8+ innings every game. You have an off day Thursday.

IMO, as long as this is a 2-1 game, you play your best (or near best, Marshall/Hoover/Broxton) to keep this a 1-run game...

Instead, Ondrusek or Parra will be the "hold it" guys and a run will creep in, making it 3-1 or 4-1...and at that time, no chance.

We will get our answer.

Hit for Arroyo in the 8th.

Who Dusty runs out there in the bottom of 8, assuming the Reds are still down, will show if he's even paying attention...
