Well, we split with Chicago and now head to KC to take on the Division leading Royals.
I hope we never have to see Jose Quintana again this year.
Go Tribe.

^^^well I'm sure we'll see him again since we have to play them 15 more times. We could have beat him.
@#%$ Raburn...horrible approach at the plate today.
day off tomorrow..then a wraparound with KC.
Lou Marson was activated..and Gomes sent down:thumbdown:
Bourne could be ready to play this weekend:thumbup:

Reynolds continues to play well. Gets his 19th RBI.
Kind of troubling, though, that he is the top average at .286.
On a side note, I was doing a little research on high school baseball 100 years ago and found that back then if you hit one over the fence it was a double. It's hard to look up the old rules and the only one I could find said that if the fence was less than 250 feet, that it was basically a ground rule double. Anyone have any insight on this? When did it change? Footwedge might remember.

I think he meant in the line-up today.hoops23;1433198 wrote:Carlos is batting .352 and Bourn is batting .333
God I cant wait to see what this offense can do when its healthy for 3 weeks in a row. I think they will go on a few tears this year. But, at this point, who knows if they will be healthy enough to ever see it. Myriad of injuries has killed any momentum guys get going and comfort levels with where they are hitting.

Disappointing. Especially for my fantasy team.

The only ridiculous part about them is how they never just make up the fucking thing the next day in a doubleheader, and instead wait months.Laley23;1434659 wrote:Seriously? Postponed again? This is ridiculous.

Yeah. I understand its a divisional game and we have plenty of time (and possibly same off days before or after a series) where we can make it up. But at this point...we better fucking start soon lol.ts1227;1434691 wrote:The only ridiculous part about them is how they never just make up the fucking thing the next day in a doubleheader, and instead wait months.

The game will be made up as part of a day/nite DH on Sunday.
Michael Bourn is not eligible to come of the DL till Tuesday...it has not been determined if he will require a rehab assignment.

Of course I remember. I was the guy who instituted the rule. I also took bets fron shoeless Joe Jackson.BRF;1432985 wrote:Reynolds continues to play well. Gets his 19th RBI.

Frustrating to watch Kipnis in the 2 hole.
Tribe goes down 3-2....again.

My thoughts exactly. I'd like to see him hitting either fifth or sixth, as maybe this'll relax him a bit and get him above the Mendoza Line. Batting .170 won't cut it, especially in the two hole.HitsRus;1435146 wrote:Frustrating to watch Kipnis in the 2 hole.

Kipnis and Druby both need moved down.Batting them back-to-back is killing the line up right now.
Fuck if only that Druby trade would have went down..

Especially the one with upton or Lynn. How nice would it have been to have Lynn in our starting rotation

He'd probably turn out just like Ubaldo if we traded for him. It's just the nature of the beast.Crimson streak;1435328 wrote:Especially the one with upton or Lynn. How nice would it have been to have Lynn in our starting rotation

This is not a good baseball team right now.
We are ahead of only the White Sox in runs scored in the American league right now.
I don't know what it is going to take, but they have to start scoring runs on a more consistent basis.
Without that 19 run explosion that one game (instead substituting our average) we would be ahead of only Marlins right now in runs scored in all of MLB.
Hopefully they can salvage the second half of the double header tonight.

Awesome April wrapping up.....sigh. This looks to be another Tribe team that scores over 10 runs in one game then not jack shit for the next week. Worse than the offense, the starting pitching is about as bad as we were worried about.

Once everyone is healthy and back in the lineup we will be alright. The pitching is horrible though. I expect to see Bauer again real soon
