If we had a decent offense we wouldnt think the pitching was as bad as it looks. How many games have we lost while giving up under 5 runs? Answer is FIVE!
And I I know 5 is a lot, but a decent offense should be able to win even those games every once in awhile.
So take those 5 games and add in a few where we dont pitch well but should win a few slugfests. Average it out and say we lose even half (4) those but win the other (4) and we are sitting at .500.

^^^^I'll agree with you.
The offernse really needs Bourn...right now it doesn't look like they are going to take him off the DL on Tuesday.

Jason Kipnis issued an apology to his manager, teammates, and to the fans for his baserunning blunder in Saturday's loss to the Royals. With the tying run on 3rd and two outs in the 9th, he failed to run after his strikeout when the ball bounced away from KC's catcher Perez. Kipnis prides himself on playing the game the right way.
Ubaldo on the hill tonite trying to salvage the split.....hoping for 94 on the radar gun:thumbup:

Ubaldo brought his "A" game tonite....hitting 94-95 on the gun. Royals get their first hit of the game in the fourth...an infield single.
Tribe up 2-0 ...but it should be a lot more. They keep hitting into DP's and running themselves out of innings. Usually that come back to bite you.

This game is shaping up poorly. We have had a ton or baserunners and the Royals only 2. Yet, we are only up 2-0. Ubaldo does look good. A lot more fastballs tonight which I like, especially when they are routinely hitting 95 on the gun.HitsRus;1435830 wrote:Ubaldo brought his "A" game tonite....hitting 94-95 on the gun. But, at least for now, so far, so good. I hope there is no biting.

Ubaldo tough thru 6....velocity on fastball dropping a bit as he approaches 80 pitches. He is mixing pitches and speeds well.
Druby Cabrrera seems to be out of his slump....8 for 15 in the series.....average now over .215

Asdrubal, before tonight, was hitting .385 in a 7 game hitting streak. He continued it tonight.
Now we just need Kipnis to hit and Bourn to get healthy.
