Never had a problem either way.
Do you have a right?
If you have a button and the seat reclines, you can recline unless it is causing the person behind you discomfort. At which point, manners and common courtesy dictate your actions.

How about this for a solution: If a person doesn't like that the person (call them Person A) in front of them reclining their seat, he/she not only asks Person A to adjust but also politely ask the person in front of Person A to adjust their seat accordingly.
