This got super confusing and I just started paying attention about 40 minutes ago. So who's the individual they keep showing laying dead on the ground?

I'm not sure which photo you are referring to, but the one guy they did have on the ground (that I've seen) at one point was arrested and then released after questioning.

Have not seen that. I think that may be footage of the first suspect they took into custody - they were extremely cautious.

Read there was a guy hit by a car that was later released. Probably the guy you are talking about

Just saw a pic of a naked guy getting into cop car - video of first suspect taken into custody. Couldn't tell from that footage if he looked like the second suspect. Although he did seem a lot shorter (#2 in the photos appears fairly tall)

I think they were laying low, and then once they saw their pics on tv they tried to get out of dodge

wonder if they have been able to evacuate everyone. Of course, I'm guessing EVERYONE is up by now, but otherwise seems kind of dangerous to have people waking up and then kids going to school, etc..

heard all this started when suspects robbed a 7/11, police officer shot and killed in MIT responded.
