This country is becoming Mexico, faster and faster. Hopefully they will lighten zoning laws so the poor can build a shelter within their budget and eliminate much of the welfare.

Taxes are a drag on the economy. No economist disputes this. Higher spending means higher taxes, and your magic bullet is higher spending.
