Which is definitely true. He's not in the running for #1 because of work ethic. However, work ethic and attitude can be a tiebreaking factor...and I don't get how those are knocks. If someone is hesitant to pick Noel because as of this week, he only weighs 220 lbs (legit concern, even after putting on some weight after losing some during the injury) and isn't anything but potential offensively, I'll buy that. Citing "character issues" is not only incorrect, but the opposite is true. People may say I'm biased as a UK fan, but as much as observers can really gauge this type of thing, I think it was backed up in his play on the court...
I have maintained like many others though, if we're talking Ben McLemore, Nerlens Noel, Alex Len or Victor Oladipo as a NUMBER ONE PICK, it's a lose-lose situation for the team picking there unless they can manage to swing a beneficial trade. I can definitely see teams at 3-5 doing what it takes to get "their guy" to drop, considering the top 5 picks are all about even, and all have risks. If I'm a team like Washington at 3 who really wants a big man, I'm sure as hell doing what I can to make sure one is there at 3.
