But I just went to a local HS girls basketball game of my alma mater and my cousin's HS. When I was in school back in the day, graduated in 1998, tickets to get in were either a few bucks or free. I just paid $12 for 2 people to go see a HS game. I don't know to me that seems kinda steep. I mean I know if I had a family and was going to see my daughter play all the time I'd be broke just on admission tickets. I'm just curious how some people can afford this? Is this norm for HS now?

Hows the tooth today? Tix here for boys are some 5, some less. State tourney tickets are higher, in fb and basketball.

Tooth is good to go now, just a little sore. I understand $5 for football which is only once a week but HS basketball is at least twice sometimes three times per week. Family of 4 that's 24 per night. Kinda crazy to me.

I don't think I could even watch it if I had a daughter playing in the game.

It is up to $6 in most places. Luckily for me, I haven't ever paid to watch any type of high school event outside the state tournaments. Coaching pass have gone a long way.

I just feel bad for the families that may not have the money to go see their kid(s) play. I mean my parents were at every game and I made sure I checked to see if they were there both basketball and softball.

She will be at home cooking dinner, so she won't even know I dropped the kid off for her game and then went to the bar.

$6 for adults is the going rate for the OHSAA nowadays.... students are like $3... I know what people are thinking but they gotta try and find some way to make money... if you sneak in back doors and know people and stuff you don't pay for every game

I won't attend regular season games anymore unless it is of extreme significance. Only the basketball playoffs, and deep payoffs, get my money.... usually only the finals where you pay an arm and a leg.

If I had a child playing, that changes things. But since I have no children, GAME ON!

Don't most schools have an athletic pass you can purchase from the Ath. Dept.? I know when I was in h.s. they had a family pass if you had a family member the working with the schools, a varsity pass if you lettered, and then just a general pass for the public. I think the family was 10 bucks, varsity was 20 bucks and then the general was 50 bucks. But that got you into any athletic event held by the school (minus OHSAA playoff games.) My mom was a teacher so she hooked us up with the passes for 10 bucks.
