I do not give a fuck what anyone thinks of what I listen to. I listen to rap mainly, notably '90s golden era stuff, but I enjoy all sorts of music. I like to expand my horizons. I go in spurts and regularly listen to everything from Michael Jackson to Triple Six Mafia (back to their horrorcore days) to Coldplay.

But there are a few that I would consider as somewhat "guilt pleasures." Rihanna -- "Stay" is awesome and Rihanna in a bathtub is awesome -- One Republic, Ke$ha, "Whaler" by Sophie B. Hawkins, "Growing Pains" by Billie Meyers, and anything that was ever part of a Dawson's Creek soundtrack.

Really like Fun. That Nate Ruess (Lead singer) is the shit, his voice reminds me of Freddy Mercury.

If I'm flipping through the radio and come across bad 90's/early 2000's pop, I always stop and listen. Examples:

I have horrible rap selections on my workout playlists. But it's moreso for the beat and rhythm, not the lyrical prowess.

Trinidad James - All Gold Everything
Chief Keef - Love Sosa

...and then there's M.I.A.'s Bad Girls...smh.

I love M.I.A. "Paper Planes" is legit and was my official summer anthem in 2008. Rolling Stone called it one of the best rap songs of all-time. I wouldn't go that far, but it was pretty sick.

I'd put M.I.A right behind Lil' Kim and Gangsta Boo as my favorite female rappers ever.

I also like Nicki Minaj when she goes hard and Lola Monroe brought it on the most recent Wiz Khalifa album. "Initiation" is an amazing track.

Being a hardcore metalhead, I do find myself periodically cheating on my genre by "eating up all of your crackers and your licorice" with Digital Underground. ;)
