This is probably very likely true though. And we can blame our own media for that. It's no different than people who are afraid to go to China because of bird flu. They have had like 15 deaths out of billions of people. Yet I personally know people fearful to go there because of it.

98% of all warrant in California are illegal aliens and the cost of illegal to America is overwhelming

Bottom line is simple make a big issue of gun control and let the real problem of illegal get a Senate and Congress pass

If the federal government was serious about school protection the money that is spent per day for the illegal aliens crime in this county could put security in every school in America. What to handle school safety deal with illegal problems now…

I'm sure they both are true. I'm not saying the study is wrong at all. I am just saying that if you turn on the TV in China, you probably do hear a lot about the US and guns and murder. Hell, that's what you get on our TV here with our media and it's agenda.

To be fair to Kerry, the article itself is ridiculous, it states that he was prompted the gun question and he stated that one (again, ONE) instance of a parent stating it is a reason to one of the diplomats - not even Kerry.

It is just another example of the media creating a story.

Agreed, there is are reasons why Japanese students in the U.S. have decreased. The U.S.'s economy continues to be in the toilet, U.S. educational costs have inexplicably increased and Japan has always been an insular nation.

For most foreign students, they pay full sticker for a U.S. education - when tuition/costs have outpaced inflation for several years it isn't a surprise that our wonderful college system doesn't seem as attractive to them.

I wonder if our big government can mandate that all foods should be sold or prepared such that The People no longer need knives in the kitchen nor at the dinner table? They already tell us what light bulbs we can use, what type of gas mileage our cars must have and what health care we are mandated to buy...why not what kind of food we should eat?

You know when I posted this yesterday, I was specifically thinking of events such as the Oklahoma City and other similar events. I had no idea of how the day would proceed and am remorseful to a degree. Not exactly because of the content and intent of my post, but rather the shock of the realization just how close to reality it is or may be. This is aside from the shock and empathy that attacks such as the Boston bombing demand.

The situation of the Boston Bombing is an example of why the limitation of American rights, freedoms and the alteration of the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] Amendment are not effective solution to violence.

You can’t buy a bomb, c4, dynamite without overly protected laws, legal documents, training and renewed registration yearly. Very limited individual have access to explosives in this country.

Limitation of the guns to law biding Americans, limited magazines, restricted ammo and gun overly registration and more restriction on back ground check are not the answer … just a political agenda, created to not solving the problem but to gain power over the people.

Mental unstable, terrorist, crimials or delusional individual will created acts of violence in some manner, it the provention of those individual is where the focus should be.

The solution are difficult but within reach:

Better Mental Health / Data base
School and College protection program
Profiling
Increased Security on American boarders
Enforced of Present Immigration Laws/ Non productive illegal sent back
Criminal Illegal sent back
Enforcement of the Present Gun laws
Maximum Enforcement of Crimes with Weapons
Revaluation of Foreign Students programs

Not sure how the bolded parts would help. All of the recent murderers have been US citizens/permanent residents.

I understand what you’re pointing out but the fix for school violence and potential public terrorist attach are IMO linked.

The cost of illegal in this county and the cost of prevention of terrorist are overwhelming .. take care of those problems and funding for schools will be avaible

The cost saving of stopping illegal from entering our country, the cost of illegal immigrants drain our social services system could pay for the proper security in every school k-12, all college and university in America. Note: there are a total of 105,000 total school in America 89,000 (I think that the number) are K-12 = to 89,000 potential jobs to protect our children. What the government pay out to illegal for social service entitlements could pay for this protection in less that 2 months.
The cost of police to track down illegal with warrants in California note: 98% of all warrant in Calif are for illegal that created a crime. The cost saving of just lowering this warrant rate, could pay for 3 security guard per school in Calif.
