Can't wait til Cardinals fans start talking shit about attendance later in the season. Stadium looks pretty sparse right now...

I haven't read any posts yet...Just logged on. But is Dusty just dense? How many times is going to bunt in front of Votto (and then be completely surprised when they IBB him after the bunt)

The last 5 runs of this game feel much more benefcial than the last 5 runs of the 15-0 win last week!

Don't understand why you don't use Parra here.

You'd think the umps would want to ge the game over. Hoover put the 0-2 pitch right on the outside corner, but he wouldn't call it - waited till the 3-2 pitch to call a K on a pitch that was similarly on the edge of the zone.

Parra's cost is way more per pitch than Hoover's with his salary more than twice Hoover's and way less pitches! LOL

Pitching Hoover...I mean WTF?

I was hoping for Chapman for a brief second. Then they put up a 9 spot! Loved it.

Seriously jordo will you STFU please? Reds just fucked the Cardinals in the ass, 13-4, and you're being Mr. Negative. Just enjoy the win and stop typing.

You post one or two times on every thread, and it's always negative. Who cares if it's an observation, it's always negative. Lighten up Francis

Did Heisey even have a sac bunt today? I think the only time Votto call IBB'd was when Choo went to 2nd on the wild pitch.

He tried once but it went foul. Popped up on the next pitch though.

This.

But the passed ball showed what would have happened had he got the bunt down.

To be honest, I'm fine with it. I know that Moneyball says that you're not supposed to sac bunt and give up the out, but with Heisey in the two spot, I'd rather him bunt the runner over instead of ground into a double play.

Will that lead to more IBB for Votto? Absolutely. But that also opens the door for Phillips to come through more...which he did with the double in that situation.

Until Ludwick is back, and Phillips is back to batting second, get used to Heisey dropping down a bunt to move Choo over.

Put somebody in the 2-hole who doesn't suck. I would argue we would be better served having Frazier there and Heisey where Frazier is hitting.

You take the bat out of Votto's hands every time you do that and you give up an out.

I would not like Frazier batting second. However, I'd be cool with BP batting second, Frazier at cleanup, and Heisey at 6. But then you have Heisey and Cozart batting back-to-back and neither has been that great right now.

I actually love Frazier in the 6 spot. Puts a good hitter behind Bruce so hopefully it means Bruce starts seeing better pitches and feels less pressure since Frazier is the safety net.

Pretty good moves by Dusty today....PH for Cozart was something I'm surprised he did....though I agreed.
