Just saw a picture he posted from the hospital on Facebook. If you like nasty injuries, you'll like this one. He said it was dislocated entirely from the joint and broken in three places while playing soccer. It had to be awful, pain-wise, and I hope they've got him good and drugged up. Good luck in surgery, bro.

He should have just used the "magic spray" that is frequently used on the international soccer scene.

I don't want to see it. I avoided the Kevin Ware injury for the longest time till I scrolled across a pic someone had posted on Facebook.

I saw Sherm's pic. It looks like he's laying on his belly with his foot hanging down. Then you notice his other foot is straight up. I was like how dafuq does that happen. All I saw was PAIN.

Thanks guys. It hurt like a fucking bitch. Morphine wasn't doing anything for it. They put me under to pop it back into place, and whatever they gave me has basically killed the pain. And apparently, when I was coming back to after being under, I told the doctors and nurses that I'm buying them all a round of shots for a job well done.

I know it's what I get for playing soccer. But this was just something to do until softball started back up.

I'm not gonna post the picture because it's gross as fuck. But I'll try to just link it for anyone interested. It worked for me. Let us know when you hear what they've got planned for recovery. Ask a doc if you can get a PCA or something for pain if it gets worse in the morning.

The pic is gross but I think the lack of a bone sticking through makes it at least bearable to look at. I couldn't imagine having an injury like that. How long until you'll be able to walk unassisted?

I'll be on crutches for 6 weeks. Sucks because I can't put any type of weight on it during that time. Since I drive a stick...that means I can't drive anywhere during that time.

Damn dude. Sorry about the ankle. Never screwed up an ankle, but have done a number to my arms a few times. Once bent my forearm in two different directions at once. Had to be put under to set it.. Enjoy the pain meds.
