A lot of these places are either war-torn hellholes or islands that you wouldn't think to go because there are more practical destinations.

There's apparently somewhat of a competitive travel world. Some guy has been to like 780 "countries" (they have their own designations along geographical and ethnic/cultural lines). Crazy stuff like some Scottish(?) island only 6 people have ever set foot on, and literally some big rock he had to paddle to with a surf board and time the tide to grab some kelp to pull himself up.

I think it's rare for US citizens to go there, but not the rest of the world. (at least compared to places that are war torn.)

I had a feeling Nauru would be on the list, and at #1. Did a report in HS on the country, and knew it was tiny, and nothing there.
